I'm actually excited to hear this new disc. I ordered it the other day, so it should be in my hands soon. It's the first Crowes disc I've bought in about 10 years...

I'm liking this. 'Tis my first listen though.

Ha-ha! That's funny. I just remember my art history professors in college totally hatin' on Rococo, so I've always associated it with the worst art movement in the world. But a Rococoesque-painted penis, well, I may just have to rethink my position.

I would imagine it'll be similar to the Blue Album reissue (the b-sides from the Pinkerton-era singles and some demos, maybe some from the Blackhole sessions). This is the one that I've been waiting on. Pinkerton is such a great album...

Via Facebook, they have signed to Epitaph Records and their new album "Hurley" will be out on 9/14.

Exactly. It may be his most diverse stuff compared to his solo joints and sidebands, which are interchangeable in my opinion, but I be damned if it isn't the worst stuff he also records.

Circus Devils - Please dear god no. A good and loving god will prevent this from happening ever again, I am certain of this. However, I am sure he can poop out another 15 CD records. Power of Suck - That would be great. Something tells me it may come out but...probably not. Who knows with the reunion thing.

It's funny because my brother and I were discussing Neon Bible recently and he really didn't like it but I like Neon Bible. He couldn't pin point an exact reason why he didn't like other than it lacked the enthusiasm of the first album.

I don't know. I was under the impression that all of the covers were going to have the same print run and not be a money grab at obsessive fans who have to have every cover. I plan on buying the LP version. Does the LP have the different covers or just one?

Heads up to bargain hunters: this is $7.99 at target this week.

I dunno, Pandora seems all over the place to me. For one thing, Pandora is not banned at work, which is nice but it makes some of the weirdest selections. For example I type in Sebadoh, it'll play some lo-fi sounding indie rock, then some main stream type stuff and then Limp Bizkit or Nickleback. I want the furthest thing from those two bands and I'll be damned within a 5-10 song spread if they're not playing something like that. Using Jango yesterday, using the same parameters, they played Sebadoh>GBV>Smog>Elliott Smith>Beck>Silver Jews>Stephen Malkmus>Pavement>

Hey, I tried Jango this afternoon. It's actually pretty cool. I like it a lot better than Pandora so far. I always use Pandora at work but this could be a great replacement.

Yeah, thought since I picked it up early it would be colored though. But seriously, it was the only copy the store had too. I guess I picked up the last one they had...They had none of the limited CDs. Been picking up most new albums on vinyl lately unless the CD copy is really cheap at Best Buy or wherever.
-
Just got this today on vinyl. # 1471/4000 and the vinyl is as black as night. Thought it was colored? Looked all over Mexican summers site and so no mention of colored vinyl... (nevermind 1st 1000 are on seafoam, 3000 on black)

My wife really likes the guys voice but their songs are just so dumb to me.
-
They're not that good either.
-
Good for them, a taste of their own medicine, if you ask me. I feel like they take one in my ear every time they come on the radio.

Got my Atlanta tickets. Very excited.
