  2. Just did that. Hopefully I will get the email/track soon...
  3. Hey, I just noticed that I didn't get the "Grandpaboy's Last Stand (epilogue)" mp3 with my order. Anybody got a link to it? I went back to my download page and it's not even on there.
  4. New track = Tom Tom This track is awesome; it's much better than the Fellowship. If they keep releasing topnotch stuff like this, then I'm on board. Edit - Bonus Track "Cottonwood Symphony" I also just got my physical copy of the Solstice Bare LP and it's freaking beautiful. Great packaging...
  5. That's encouraging...I've heard elsewhere that it's not noticeable or that it really doesn't matter that it's remastered because it sounds dated anyway. It's only $7.99 @ Best Buy this week, so I may actually cave and buy it.
  6. Whatever happened to Alternative Nation? Great articles about the 90's from the avclub and the onion. So far, there are 4 articles. I guess there will be 10 total? They're really good and really long too.
  7. The two new tracks are really great. I haven't really had time to listen to the grandpaboy's last stand yet...but I did skim through - it' seemed too much like a half-baked sketch to me. Has anyone got a link to the 2 tracks on the actual 7"? I thought that they would be included with the download but no such luck. Thanks in advance!
  8. Keepers: Smart Girls, Ruling Me, Run Away, Hang On, I want to Be Something Clunkers: Trainwrecks, Where's my Sex?, All my Friends are Insects For me their last good record was Green, but I have warmed up to Make Believe a good bit, of course, minus a few songs. Death to False Metal is pretty forgettable. It had a lot of potential on paper, but upon listening to it, I was really left underwhelmed. As for Pinkerton's deluxe, I love it. I like having the bonus tracks on there and in one place now. My only complaint is that they're going to release Rivers Coumo's Alone III next month
  9. Been on a huge =w= kick this week. I am warming up to a few songs on this one...Thank god for being able to delete tracks from i-pod's play-lists.
  10. New website. Has information about the Cardinals III/IV CD and Vinyl release and the Orion reissue.
  11. The extra stuff is a welcome addition to Pinkerton and therefore, in my opinion, much better than the Blue deluxe.
  12. Cover art. Hopefully that "Coming Soon: Son of a Depression" will be an album!
  13. I know. He's so random now about releases. I pine for a normal release of some sort in the near future, - maybe a compilation of his best internet stuff. I did get a physical copy of the last ep but dammit I need the artifact and not some mp3.
  14. New single with mysterious download. ORDERED!
  15. The show was great and I loved it. I too wanted more UTBUTS, especially Ironman Rally Song, but as you said, it just wasn't meant to be.
  16. Yep, I am offically pumped about seeing them tomorrow night in Atlanta. I saw them on the Earthquake Glue Tour and it was a really great show. This will be my brothers fierst GBV show, so he's in for a real treat.
  17. I agree. Even when he supposedly kicked the drug habit about the time Baby I'm Bored was released, I could still tell he was "on" something. He was pretty doped up when I saw him on that tour. He got divorced a while back, he must have taken it pretty hard...
  18. Just got my copy of this and Deerhunter's new one in the mail, freaking awesome.
  19. Found a brand-new copy of this for $6 this past weekend. Not bad.
  20. Two great albums that were released this year, Beach Fossils and Wild Nothing. If you haven't heard them, check them out.
  21. This. The last few albums have lacked some bite to them. I really want to see them rock.
  22. The Flaming Lips – Race for the Prize (remix) Arcade Fire – Neighborhood #2 (Laïka) Fleet Foxes – White Winter Hymnal (Daytrotter) The Decemberists – The Sporting Life Broken Social Scene – Pacific Theme The Smashing Pumpkins – There It Goes (Demo) The Lemonheads – Become The Enemy The Modern Lovers – Pablo Picasso Archers of Loaf – Plumb Line Wolf Parade – Grounds for Divorce
  23. Pretty much all I've listened to for the last 2 weeks.
  24. Yeah, I do miss Jimmy's drumming, but I guess it's a non-issue now. So far, this "album" has been far more entertaining and engaging than their last one. Overall, I think Billy likes this line up more than the last and he's enthusiastic about it and you can really tell by the music.
  25. Overall, I have no expectation for the setlists. I do however want to hear certain songs that are my favorite and I would suspeect most people are that way to a certain degree. I think my expectations for a performer is increased when I am certain that they won't ever come back to my town ever again, I certainly want the "perfect" setlist. I know it's unreasonable but it's an honest answer. Bigger acts and most of the bands I like don't play around these parts and when they do I have to jump at the chance to see them because they may not be eback. Wilco played here in '96/'97 and haven't
