  1. The GBV Holy Trinity and the new one from Wavves.
  2. Man, it would be awesome if they did a full tour and such. They, as in Pollard, was planning/thinking about releasing the Power of Suck finally. Maybe they will and tour in support?
  3. I will try. I think if it were more like the last Marbles LP, I would have dug it quite a bit. One cool thing about this record - I did talk my local shop into giving me a copy of the Apples 12" freebie with the cover songs on it since they haven't sold many copies of the record (if any) a few weeks ago. I bought a used copy of it on the day it came out at the record store, but since they didn't sell any more copies....I wiggled my way into getting the free LP. NP: Again, another "used" copy on the day of release.
  4. Just saw this on facebook. Too cool, but it would be cooler if they toured and recorded a new album.
  5. Ok, I don't feel the whole Dr. Who thing. Being a nerd, I thought I would get it. Stargate, Star Wars, Battlestar, Star Trek, love all the goofy sci-fi things and thought this would be right up my alley and so did Netflix because they are constantly suggesting them to me. So, I tried to watch an episode a while back (episode 1 of the new series?) because they have 50 billion of them to watch instantly on Netflix, and sweet baby jesus was it terrible. I just don't get it. Lame mannequins chasing after people? Crazy bad effects? It looks like it was shot in a basement too. What am I missi
  6. What's your opinion on this? I'm seriously underwhelmed at this point. The whole futuristic thing is just annoying - I can't get past it. I'm sure there are some good songs on this disc, it's just laborious getting to them. NP: Method Actors - This Is Still It
  7. Hey y'all, Ryan has posted 6 new demos from '08 up on his myspace page, anyone know how to download them?
  8. Just to name a few... NMH - In the Aeroplane Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream and Gish Nirvana - Nevermind and In Utero Arcade Fire - Funeral REM - Murmur Weezer - Blue and Pinkerton Pavement - Slanted and Crooked Rain Slint - Spiderland My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
  9. Weezer and Ryan Adams record a song for the next Weezer record. I have no idea what to say about this. Hope it's good, but I bet it's not.
  10. Great, great band/artist. All of her 7" are worth searching out. I have a tour compilation from them that has all of those songs...if I find it, I'll send you a PM. It has 14 songs total. (PS, I found it, if anyone else is interested...) I haven't seen them in concert but I found this after finding it damn near impossible to find the 7"s. I guess the best description of this band (which is really only 2 people) would be that they are similar to Dum Dum Girls but only better. Kinda stoner/druggie subject matter but with a nice scuzzy almost shoe gaze on top of girl pop band sound.
  11. In my opinion, Orion was easy to skip since it still had the strong stench of a joke album. I just can't take it seriously and I am glad I didn't blow money on it. The Finger stuff was just as hotly sought after, but nowadays, not so much. These new LPs are actually substantial and are more than likely truer artistic statements that fans will overwhelmingly be more than happy to fork out their money for. I could see them potentially being issued on cd, though maybe through a label.
  12. Two pieces of news from Facebook: and I'm guessing these will be released soon??? God I hope.
  13. NP: Lou Barlow - Loobiecore 2.5 Tour CD (actually my signed copy!)
  14. I listen to this on purpose and it's still as bland and awful as it was three years ago. I have maybe listened to it 3 times since it's release.
