  1. Seven posts and no mention of Mercedes Benz by Janis Joplin.
  2. This is pretty rad so far. Love the first track. You can get it free on the HTDA website. I've been listening to a lot of NIN lately.
  3. This album is so great. It's sounds so cliche but it really does get better with each listen. The wife and I just drove around Saturday and listened to this. Such a beautiful album to drive around. I totally get the South Carolina vibe from it some others have mentioned. I live in SC and driving around the other day, it just felt perfect.
  4. Great soundtrack for a rainy day.
  5. Seriously. My wife and I paid a good bit to see Bruce last year and after that experience we said "no more" to high tickets. I'm going to see Modest Mouse, Broken Social Scene and Built to Spill this summer and all for less than one Neil Young ticket.
  6. That's what is keeping the wife and I at home instead of seeing him in Spartanburg tonight. I really want to go but it's just too damn expensive. If I went it would have blown my entire summer concert wad. I am bummed as hell because he might not ever make it down this way ever again and to have him play in my back yard practically is depressing.
  7. The single is on sale at Merge right now. On facebook it said they were selling quick...
  8. I bought a copy a week ago at the local record store. It leaked a while back too. It's only so-so. Nowhere near as good as Furr by a long shot. Probably will forever collect dust on my shelf. NP:
  9. Smashing Pumpkins - Teargarden By Kaleidyscope Vol. 1: Songs for a Sailor
  10. There was Electro Snake and another one that didn't make the cut...I'll just wait for it to leak.
  11. It's $32.99 with shipping. I'm too cheap. I am gonna be pissed if it's just lame studio-dicking around. So, for now, I am going to abstain from ordering this....
  12. Not being a big fan of this band, but in general liking Boxer fairly well, I am digging this new one a lot. I wish I had picked it up on purple vinyl now...but the CD was way cheaper. Plus the cd is hard as hell to get in and out of the slip case.
  13. Loving the hell outta this one.
  14. And at 320, no doubt. Yeah, Sub Pop has a bad rep when it comes to keeping things under wraps. I bet I can find a real, physical copy in about 3 weeks at one of my local record stores. I have found all of Sub Pop's most recent records at least 2-3 weeks before their release date at that store. I'm guessing promo copies and they're always cheap ($6-$7)...and multiples at that. I have gotten the Male Bonding, Happy Birthday and Dum Dum Girls album weeks before their relase. They are also the same way with Merge Records and Matador too- always can find them weeks (sometimes months - I go
  15. Amazon pre-order link. Says it'll be out June 1st. I'm guessing it's a single.
  16. Good Points. My wife and I have to deal with this same sort of situation. My mom is an asshole to my wife as were many members of my family. When we were dating, she constantly brought up ex-girlfriends, our situations, how much better they were, and such in front of my wife constantly. It got to the point where she couldn't stand to go over to my parents. I didn't blame. My mom was acting like a bitchy middle school girl: continuously nit-picking and making comments about my wife. My own twin brother was being such a dick to us that I didn't even have him as my best man at my wedding.
  17. Old Crow Medicine Show is a great band. Check out their stuff, you can't go wrong.
