Got my white vinyl last week. This band is great.

Last Year's RSD was really great and this year's isn't bad, but nothing feels too demanding of my attention or wallet. I just bought some really great things last year...Plus the stores around here had massive sales but they're not really planning any this year. I really would like to get the Hold Steady LP but I am thinking that it's gonna be really hard to come by with only 750 being printed up and 400-some odd stores competing for those copies. I wonder if the local stores will even get a copy? I could give a shit about the Wilco LP because I honestly hate that album and never listen

I agree with the production comments. It's sounds very crisp to me. I listened to it in passing twice now but I still like their last one more, but it grew on me and I'm sure this one will too. NP: Smashing Pumpkins - Machina II

I'm not too impressed with this year's releases. There's not a whole lot that I need or feel like I have to have. The SY vinyls look nice and I'm interested in the Beach House vinyl but not much else.

How do you pronounce this? The dj on the local radio stations said he didn't know how to pronounce it today while I was listening and it's been bugging me since! He gave several possible pronunciations but left it up to the listeners to decide.

I know I've posted this or someone else has on here before, I couldn't find it though. It needs to be re-posted though. It's a funny article about his emissions and carbon foot print.

With very few exceptions, I pretty much already do.

Seriously, Bob can't sell no more than 1,000-1,500 tops for those Circus Devils albums. The last two albums he did for Merge at one time had only sold 2,500 apiece. I think this is the overall problem with Bob's current situation: he's releasing music to a small but none-the-less fervent fan base but is doing little to grow or develop as an artist. He may be fine with that and more power to him, but it would bug the shit out of me if I were allowing myself to be marginalized as an artist. As a fan I know he can do better but...he's not. Plain and simple.

I hear you on the Circus Devils - can't stand them for the most part. I'll pick up the CD's albums if I find them cheap, for like under $5. The only one I ever paid full price for is Pinball Mars on vinyl from Rockathon back in the day. I seriously have found them all ridiculously cheap in the dollar/clearance bin or used. I found a new copy of Ringworm on vinyl for only a couple of bucks about seven years ago, which I consider a pretty good find. I haven't found Five, Ataxia or Gringo for a cheap price yet, but I have downloaded them. I still would like to pick up a few of them on cd

Just couldn't ever get into these guys. Maybe it's the American in me and all, but these guys blow a big one. I have both of their records and I have maybe listened to them twice each.

He's hitting Spartanburg, which is close, but dammit the ticket prices are outrageous. I can't justify spending $80 plus ticket raper charges for one ticket, let alone two for both my wife and I, and those are the cheapest seats. Sucks because he will probably never come this close again.

Yeah, I had read that on the Beulah site back when it was originally posted. The album just doesn't do it for me though. I know I should spend more time with it but...I purchased it off of i-tunes, so no lyrics for me. I'll wait for a cheap used copy to show up...

DTS is a little hard to stomach sometimes when it comes to their over-enthusiastic opinion of Bob and their bragging about drinking. It's border line pathetic. I do wish some of the hardcore fans were more reasonable and realistic about Bob's output. He's great and all but not that great. Yet, even Wilco has those type of over-the-top fans who think that Tweedy can do no wrong. However, Wilco fans as a whole seem to be more reasonable and are all-around the best community of fans out there, im my humble, non-biased opinion of course.
