yeah, I watched it till half-time and gave up. Bad game. I really want the colts to lose.

I agree, that song has never done it for me, except for the "alice died..." part. I like this new one as well. I am pretty excited to hear the rest of the album. This sucker has to leak soon.

Um, yeah I'm not feeling this one. I need to give it a few more listens before I totally dog it.

Nope (not in studio form, the shows are out there), they haven't either leaked or just weren't recorded. Only Number of the Beast is out there (on the lyric or honestly single, not sure which one though). Apparently, a lot of songs were recorded but most only in demo form. Before they broke up, they were just entering the studio to make a Djali Zwan album, which I assume is the show you saw. Many of the songs that he intended for the Djali record were supposed to go on his Chicago album that was never released/finished. In any event, the Djali album was supposed to have been a more collab

Me too, I was bored to tears with her album. Just didn't do it for me the way a Rilo Kiley album does it for me, you know what I mean?

lol. People just need to lighten up.

Welcome to the internets asshole. You'll do well here. I hope that the most horrible things in life happen to you and only you.

What's wrong with you? Corgan's solo album blew a fucking donkey dick. It was the worst thing he ever touched, including MACHINA. I believe that he's underated in relation to his 90's peers but not in regards to his solo album.

Bluebeard Reminded me a lot of my cruel tutelage in college working for an artist/professor as his TA and general help... Our BAnd could be your life is a great book. The Replacements chapter was great as was the Butthole Surfers and the Dinosaur Jr. chapters.

This is one of the most interesting/disgusting books I've ever read. I like it. I need to go to the library and get Kurt Vonnegut's Breakfast of Champions. I just read Slaughterhouse V and Bluebeard and feel in love with his work.

Love 'em both. Hopper may have a tiny edge though.

Sebadoh's asshole 45. First printing had only 500 in the run, each with a handcolored cover by the band. This one is not what mine looks like, but it's pretty close. My other crown jewels would have to be some of my rare GBV records (Acid Ranch being the rarest of the crop)

Asheville! I am so there. Seriously, they were so fun the last time. I hope that TBA will be Greenville. I honestly like their last album, Sunlandic Twins, the best. I can't wait to hear the new one. The early albums are great but he's really come into his own on the past few records.

I would put Brighten the Corners a very close third to S+E and CRCR. I love that record. It was my first Pavement record too, so I'm sure that affects my like of the record greatly. Wowee Zowee, even right down to the cover, just seemed like kind of a "meh" effort on the bands part. Sure, there are great songs on it but overall it's hard to listen to the whole thing in one sitting.

I still don't get all the love WZ gets and why it seems to be the fan favorite. S+E and CRCR are, at least to my ears, far better records. I like the WZ reissue for one reason - Painted Soldiers!

...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead

Meh. I heard it once and was not impressed. ST&C was one of those albums I just picked up for the hell of it without knowing too much about the band. I just heard that it was a good record and it is. They're just seem to be one of those bands who will only have one good record though. I wasn't/am not a major fan of the band. Before I got it, I had a couple of mp3's but I own none of their other records (still don't). From what I've heard of this record though, it makes me want to give them another try. If I really wanted worlds apart, I could pay a couple of bucks at the record -
As a huge Jay-defender on these boards, I am having a hard time getting into this album. The first track really is quite jarring and kind of starts the whole experience off on a bad foot. I mean, are you to tell me that out of seventy songs, you feel the strongly enough to put it on the album? Not only that, you start the album with it? Not a good move in my opinion. I still have to give this one some time, but it certainly is not my favorite.

I loved Source Tags and Codes, but skipped their last one. I may just get this one though. Heck, it's only 7.99 at Best Buy this week (so is the new Hold Steady album). -
Don't become obsessive about it. Stick to the good ep's that were already mentioned or the mini albums like Pipe Dreams of the Instant Prince Whippet, Daredevil Stamp Collectior, Sunfish Holy Breakfast.
