I second your emotion. JT - "When we kicked into that song the first time we did it, in an encore, I don't know if I've ever seen a reaction like that from such a sizable portion from the audience." - which doesn't say if it was a good or bad reaction, though I suppose it means good. https://www.grammy.com/news/wilco-cruel-country-jeff-tweedy-interview-new-album

A fair result. We were so nervous and disjointed in the first half. Let's hope we both beat England but can't see us both qualifying - may end up on goal difference between us to get out of the group. Bale was in the same class in Cardiff Whitchurch High School as Sam Warburton - British and Irish Lions rugby captain, and the year above was Geraint Thomas - Tour de France winner. Give that PE teacher a medal.

First time for us since 58. Interesting group with England, Iran and USA. Shame it has to be at the worst host country ever, but that it our lot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fpV0OFC0vc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emPhXdwhQoE The official version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43Fag8ZQcz4 The sparks start flying on the 2 minute mark. Then we've still got the national anthem up our sleeve.

The English Best western series I have enjoyed since Lonesome Dove for me (I don't have subscription TV so can't comment on that Deadwood series). Gorgeous to look at. More violent than Lonesome Dove. Interesting convoluted revenge story. Discovered it was written/directed by the same guy at The Shadow Line which i loved way back. A kind of western Peaky Blinders at its best in terms of atmosphere and set up for some scenes. Nearly in tears at the end.

Loving this new old version. Something about that Beatles perfect imperfection of guitar/drums/vocals that makes it so listenable and alive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azvE5dh2f1A There's another 'first version' about now too that's also.

That's an interesting paradox.

Latest couple of 1 hour Stewart Lee specials on BBC. Someone has captured the audio (still quite brilliant without the deadpan visuals) Edit: Then chilled to Whitehouse and Mortimer: Gone Fishing last night.

First the Queen dies, now Bbop is not writing show reports. What's going on with the world? (no offence Boss_Tweedy) Edit - Now I think of it, Bbop always did have an unmatched collection of handbags. Maybe there is some correlation! Oh no! -

Suppose this is nothing compared with Bbop's history of queuing. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/sep/15/the-most-british-thing-ever-huge-queue-of-royal-mourners-sparks-memes-and-gentle-humour -

As usual I have a difficult time loving everything by any band, but have been impressed with the lyrics of Sam Fender. Don't know how big he is in the US - he's definitely big here now. This is a great song from someone so young and nice to have Stephen Graham in the video. The Geordie Springsteen as he has been labelled. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoODq7Ol1so And of course the 'hit'. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WAifgn2Cvo8 From a couple of years ago (now) I loved Fontaines D.C.'s first album (practically all of it, which is very rare for me).
