  2. Nice review in The Times. I don't have an online subscription so no links possible, but I grabbed the office foyer copy. A bit of extra missing banter too. The Guardian has traditionally liked Wilco/JT, so maybe they'll have a review up tomorrow.
  3. From a Wilco Tweet Entering though the bar I overheard someone say that the place exuded a spirit of Tarby.

  7. Second series of Toast of London started last night. Brilliant.
  8. First part of the interview that I missed this morning - discussion of Low Key video, admiration for the sidecar, first track in session is Summer Noon (so they went with the 2 pop belters), the solo album evolution - Mavis mention and Spencer DNA usual sort of discussion, Spencer should be at a toga party or something (did "Jello shots with Mavis" to feel like a spring break "Mavis and Yvonne in a hot tub" - said Spencer, to which JT replied/gently reprimanded "Easy"), meaning of Sukierae and family health issues, and that's where I started listening this morning.
  9. Available for listening here. Don't know if that works for non-UK folks. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p029z8qv There was also a very short interview on London Live (a sort of local London TV channel owned by a Russian oligarch) - nothing of interest other than mention of fish and chips & wagamama. http://www.londonlive.co.uk/news/2014-11-03/fish-and-chips-with-jeff-tweedy
  10. Well, TWEEDY are doing a good job of pimping themselves around the BBC. Apparently on BBC Radio2 on Saturday 3pm but presumably also recording today or something. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04lnzqj The bad news is that it's Dermot O'Leary again - the guy who did a stumbling job of pretending to know what he was talking about the last time JT was on BBC Radio2. He hosts the UK X-Factor. 'Nuff said.

  12. That's all folks. I get the feeling they may have opened with another track that I missed. Can check out BBC iPlayer later to see if that's true.
  13. Some mention of Wilco - 20 years "not so much a celebration as a reflection". "Still room to grow and territory to explore". Wilco winterlude - "alot of deep cuts", "we just did something similar in NY". Wilco album plans - "a little bit has already been done" "exploratory sessions" "get together in February is the plan". TWEEDY - "Spencer and I on our last break " ... "sequenced and put together another record". Mostly JT doing the chatting. Low Key playing now in session by the full TWEEDY band. Plenty of good news there then.
  14. Meanwhile, also in London. One ceramic poppy for every British soldier who died in WW1. That's about 880,000, part of an art installation. Volunteers haev spent months putting it up ready for Remembrance Day. Each one has been sold @ £25 for charity. As The Flamin' Groovies Shake Some action plays before we go back to TWEEDY.
  15. "She's such a badass" ... "I almost felt sorry for cancer" "I can sleep with my head in a kick drum" So it's now 12:14. I caught literally the last minute of some chat before she played Pavement (Stereo). If she started at 12:00 I'm thinking maybe it's all over already, but she just said they're back after Neil Young (Plastic Flowers) and the news. That might be the live session.
  16. Just got wind of this and tuning in (or whatever the equivalent is on a PC). Good exposure with a fairly intelligent and knowledgeable DJ Lauren Laverne, unlike the last time JT was on BBC radio. Will type any highlights ... http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04ncxsn
  17. So, have been watching the current series out of a sense of duty more than anything. Nothing especially bad (except the moon egg concept was a bit daft) and Capaldi is OK, but just was not coming away feeling pleasantly entertained. Perhaps because of the nagging thought that everything about the failing relationship between Clara and the Doctor seemed to ignore the 'impossible girl' story that meant she would have known so much more about his possibly varied character(s) already. However, Saturday was a cracker. Some nice concepts to ponder on, some surprises, and the wonderful Missy (the act
  18. Ta. I will do my best to reach your standard. I have a cunning plan - a pre printed Sukierae track listing - then I only have to take a second to write a number against a name. Today is boiling - sunbathing in St Paul's graveyard for lunchtime, so I hope the Tweedys got here to see London with some sun for a change. Maybe I should look out for more promotional articles/interviews if they have some extra days. I think the temperature gets back to normal next week. Anyway, don't want to go off topic any more so I'll shut up.
  19. Thanks to everyone who has been reporting recently - its been fun to read. The Wilco sabbatical certainly seems to have had a great positive effect. Meanwhile, back to TWEEDY for JT and me next Tuesday, when ST becomes a proper international rock star for the first time. Cue trans-atlantic airline travel bacchanalia
  20. Becoming more of a tour? Friday 30th Jan The Ritz - Manchester https://www.ticketline.co.uk/event/unavailable/13299355/tweedy-featuring-jeff-tweedy-of-wilco-manchester-the-ritz-2015-01-30-18-00-00 Edit: To answer my own question - Barcelona a couple of days later, so more UK shows look unlikely?
