There was a 'JT names his favourite 20 songs' piece some time ago where he deliberately left No. 20 free to slot in whatever he was listening to at the time, so it could well be a related ploy. The 19/38 does also bug me though :-)

There are some very funny comments in this - how inadvertent or knowingly tongue in cheek this is I have no idea, but it did make me laugh in several places. It's like a listening party with Norm, Cliffy, Statler and Waldorf. It surprised me to see it in NewsWeek. So the Dads don't really like it much, ergo . . . http://www.newsweek.com/tweedy-jeff-tweedy-dad-rock-271376 Also, is it definatively TWEEDY not Tweedy?

The Roger McGuinn collaboration on the collection makes me wish this was there

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klPiV1Fk3hk Jeff and son Spencer Tweedy join Mark Bazer on The Interview Show to talk about their new album, "Sukierae," as well as about autographing Dominick's receipts, a band called Sexfist and much more. Plus, they perform "You Are Not Alone," a song Jeff wrote for Mavis Staples. Filmed at The Abbey Pub Sept. 12, 2014. Thanks to Ben Chandler and Adam Peindl. Next Interview Show is Nov. 7 at The Hideout. www.theinterviewshowchicago.com. - It's a good one, especially near the end. #sexfist trending now no doubt.

I knew that had to be wrong :-) Just as 1 in 200 men today is descended from Genghis Khan, I think Jones the Voice isn't far behind in that statistic. http://www.theguardian.com/uk/2003/mar/02/science.research

"Alpha Mike Foxtrot features 64 pages of liner notes that include track-by-track recollections from Tweedy, notes by band members Nels Cline and John Stirratt, and reflections from members of Wilco’s extended professional family. The booklet also showcases dozens of archival and never-before-seen photos from a wide array of photographers chronicling all phases of the band’s career. ... Wilco appears on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, October 27." http://www.nonesuch.com/journal/wilco-marks-20-years-2-special-releases-november-17-nonesuch-records-2014-10-14

Really? Then he'd better steer well clear of Ponty on a Friday night. This might help change his mind http://youtu.be/PamO6obWcQk

I work for a company with a large office in Glasgow so have been up there a couple of times. Unfortunately that is all coming to an end as we've been swallowed up by Standard Life, so I don't think I can wangle a visit in January. Here's hoping the celtic connection leads to a show in Wales at some point. And if you want sexy . . .

After The Crack Up is definitely stuck in my head. Doesn't seem that easy to find a UK outlet to buy a non-digital copy though . . .

Have to echo prevoius comments. Seen Emmylou 4 times over 20 years in Hot Band/new age/bluegrass/mixture incarnations and I don't think you should go there expecting a stuttering show. Her voice is not as strong as it was of course, but it's still a thing of wonderfully flawed beauty. Also echo the comments about the photos

That's a shame if she had technical difficulties. Hope you get anoher chance when she appears at that Mavis party. And I think she usually pops up at a few other peoples sets rather than them coming to hers. When I went Dave Rawlings was almost on stage - sitting in the corner grinning from ear to ear.
