Meanwhile, also in London. One ceramic poppy for every British soldier who died in WW1. That's about 880,000, part of an art installation. Volunteers haev spent months putting it up ready for Remembrance Day. Each one has been sold @ £25 for charity. As The Flamin' Groovies Shake Some action plays before we go back to TWEEDY. -

"She's such a badass" ... "I almost felt sorry for cancer" "I can sleep with my head in a kick drum" So it's now 12:14. I caught literally the last minute of some chat before she played Pavement (Stereo). If she started at 12:00 I'm thinking maybe it's all over already, but she just said they're back after Neil Young (Plastic Flowers) and the news. That might be the live session. -

So, have been watching the current series out of a sense of duty more than anything. Nothing especially bad (except the moon egg concept was a bit daft) and Capaldi is OK, but just was not coming away feeling pleasantly entertained. Perhaps because of the nagging thought that everything about the failing relationship between Clara and the Doctor seemed to ignore the 'impossible girl' story that meant she would have known so much more about his possibly varied character(s) already. However, Saturday was a cracker. Some nice concepts to ponder on, some surprises, and the wonderful Missy (the act -

Ta. I will do my best to reach your standard. I have a cunning plan - a pre printed Sukierae track listing - then I only have to take a second to write a number against a name. Today is boiling - sunbathing in St Paul's graveyard for lunchtime, so I hope the Tweedys got here to see London with some sun for a change. Maybe I should look out for more promotional articles/interviews if they have some extra days. I think the temperature gets back to normal next week. Anyway, don't want to go off topic any more so I'll shut up. -

Thanks to everyone who has been reporting recently - its been fun to read. The Wilco sabbatical certainly seems to have had a great positive effect. Meanwhile, back to TWEEDY for JT and me next Tuesday, when ST becomes a proper international rock star for the first time. Cue trans-atlantic airline travel bacchanalia -

Becoming more of a tour? Friday 30th Jan The Ritz - Manchester https://www.ticketline.co.uk/event/unavailable/13299355/tweedy-featuring-jeff-tweedy-of-wilco-manchester-the-ritz-2015-01-30-18-00-00 Edit: To answer my own question - Barcelona a couple of days later, so more UK shows look unlikely?

There was a 'JT names his favourite 20 songs' piece some time ago where he deliberately left No. 20 free to slot in whatever he was listening to at the time, so it could well be a related ploy. The 19/38 does also bug me though :-)

There are some very funny comments in this - how inadvertent or knowingly tongue in cheek this is I have no idea, but it did make me laugh in several places. It's like a listening party with Norm, Cliffy, Statler and Waldorf. It surprised me to see it in NewsWeek. So the Dads don't really like it much, ergo . . . http://www.newsweek.com/tweedy-jeff-tweedy-dad-rock-271376 Also, is it definatively TWEEDY not Tweedy?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klPiV1Fk3hk Jeff and son Spencer Tweedy join Mark Bazer on The Interview Show to talk about their new album, "Sukierae," as well as about autographing Dominick's receipts, a band called Sexfist and much more. Plus, they perform "You Are Not Alone," a song Jeff wrote for Mavis Staples. Filmed at The Abbey Pub Sept. 12, 2014. Thanks to Ben Chandler and Adam Peindl. Next Interview Show is Nov. 7 at The Hideout. www.theinterviewshowchicago.com. - It's a good one, especially near the end. #sexfist trending now no doubt.

I knew that had to be wrong :-) Just as 1 in 200 men today is descended from Genghis Khan, I think Jones the Voice isn't far behind in that statistic. http://www.theguardian.com/uk/2003/mar/02/science.research

"Alpha Mike Foxtrot features 64 pages of liner notes that include track-by-track recollections from Tweedy, notes by band members Nels Cline and John Stirratt, and reflections from members of Wilco’s extended professional family. The booklet also showcases dozens of archival and never-before-seen photos from a wide array of photographers chronicling all phases of the band’s career. ... Wilco appears on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, October 27." http://www.nonesuch.com/journal/wilco-marks-20-years-2-special-releases-november-17-nonesuch-records-2014-10-14
