  1. Hmmm...guess I missed that little detail. Oh well...at least we'll all get to see the simulcast of his performance at Mountain Jam- hope he plays some of the new material at that show... There will be a free Web simulcast of Jeff Tweedy/TWEEDY performing at Mountain Jam on Sat. 6/7/14: "Mountain Jam is offering their webcast for free this year: All performances from the East and West stages will be webcast. Jeff Tweedy plays 2:30-3:45 Saturday, June 7." Plus- The Tedesci-Trucks Band 6:45-8:15 Sat. 6/7 & The Allman Brothers 7:00-? Sun. 6/8. http://mountainjam.com/webcast/
  2. I'll know tomorrow for sure, but it looks like I might just have one extra for Jeff Tweedy/TWEEDY & The Minus 5 at the Lincoln Theater in Washington D.C. on Tues. June 10th. I paid $55 total & I have the hard copy ticket. I can ship (you pay shipping), or meet you there. PM me, & it's first come, first served. As I said I should know by this time tomorrow.
  3. From my understanding (vial those press releases about the tour & album) the TWEEDY band section of the show is supposed to be highlighting that new album, so cutting those songs out of the Roadcase shows might constitute cutting out pretty substantial portions of those shows...more than what's been cut with the whole previous bizarre cutting all the song from "Wilco (The Album)" weirdness of last year- though for a couple shows it was substantial, IIRC, & I'd guess that had to do with some commercial rights to the material, that hopefully gets worked out someday (still hoping someday
  4. I understand your concern, but I very, very much doubt that Wilco HQ would be putting this out as Wilco proper without plans to make that happen. My better bet is that sometime in the late Summer/ early Autumn is when we might see the juggernaut that is Wilco start up it's engines again. The last gigs for The Autumn Defense are currently in late June...Jeff's touring project currently sees it's last dates in late July, Nels major finale, as of now, is the residency in NYC in early August. I'm still thinking about the 20th anniversary happening this year ("Since 1994; Wilco; Chicago"...live deb
  5. I'm really surprised that we still don't have any release date on this forthcoming album with the first tour dates (where material from that album is going to be, apparently, heavily featured) coming up so soon. The great news is that with the first show in Detroit being Roadcase #33, we should be getting a nice dose of whatever is on the album- whether or not it's come out yet (hopefully that will be made available ASAP after the show- hoping to have it, at least for the road trip to Baltimore/D.C. ... if not for Pittsburgh). And speaking of Roadcase shows, old forthcoming show #34, from Wash
  6. From the archives (mid December 2011)- The guitarist from TWEEDY, Jim Elkington, interviews the guitarist from Wilco, Nels Cline. "Artist on Artist: Nels Cline of Wilco . The avant-garde guitarist tells Jim Elkington of the Horse’s Ha and Eleventh Dream Day, 'It was like being jolted with electricity. I never really recovered.’." http://www.chicagoreader.com/chicago/interview-with-nels-cline-of-wilco-and-jim-elkington-of-the-horses-ha/Content?oid=5187924 Interesting how & when their paths would cross again, via Jeff Tweedy. Also interesting that Jim Elkington's job right before this TWEED
  7. Not sure all of who got corralled together for this performance...could be the current lineup...looks like sweethearts Steve Wynn & Linda Pitmon (on guitar & drums respectively)- both of who play with Scott in The Baseball Project (which also features Peter Buck & Mike Mills) "From the band's Record Store Day 2014 exclusive, Scott the Hoople in the Dungeon of Horror.":
  8. The line-up in Jan. 2014 was- Scott McCaughey, Peter Buck, Bill Rieflin, John Ramberg & Josh Kantor for this terrific new song: and...this great gut-bucket cover of my favorite Dr. Feelgood song "She Does It Right":
  9. Oh that is truly tantalizing...I'm betting songkick will be adding Louisville to the list (obviously the venue website isn't gonna be wrong about that)... It's up on the Lincoln Theater website also (Washington D.C. venue), but not on the Baltimore venue's website just yet- though ticketfly has both of those listed for The Minus Five as well...I'm pretty sure it'll be, at least, those three & more of them if we're lucky. FYI- I've seen the Pittsburgh show listed, on their official website, as being 7:30 to 9:00. That's a little short, & I'd say that means no opening act either...though
  10. Very cool you got to catch them twice!! They just did "Glory" from "Adventure", & "1880 Or So" from the "Television" album...but both were as amazing as the stuff from "Marquee Moon"!! The same can be said for the very old & recently revived "I'm Gonna Find You" & the still as yet unreleased "Persia"...and, for that matter "Psychotic Reaction" too!
  11. Just a heads up...I got amazing tickets, almsot at cost, for both shows... So Pittsburgh, Baltimore & D.C. all in rapid fire order in the same week in June ...and then, unless he adds any dates any closer between now & then...probably Toronto on July 6th too!!
  12. With the recent big announcements of solo album & new band on tour with Jeff, it's worth noting that the forthcoming Roadcase Shows #33 & #34 are up for pre-order. Both of these will be from from this Jeff Tweedy solo/TWEEDY electric band tour & are available now for pre-order, with #33 being from the tour opener June 5th in Detroit & #34 from the June 10th Washington D.C. show. Since it appears to be a bit shorter tour (though who knows if it'll get extended once the album is out) this is a great way for folks to hear both the new band, & the new material live. http://wilc

  15. RIGHT ON!!! Thanks for sharing about this great way to help & give back!! And big kudos for Sue for both being comfortable enough to share her experiences with others & for totally rockin' that new pixie cut!! Sending wishes, good vibes & prayers for continuing Love & Light to Susan & her whole tribe!!
  16. Well this is huge news & then some...makes me really happy I opted to go all out & get those tickets to Baltimore & D.C., as well as hitting the Pittsburgh show. Wonder when the album will drop? Before the first tour date? And it actually gave me fresh reason to go to the official website & order those two upcoming shows that they've got available on pre-order- #33 is Detroit, MI from June 5th & #34 is Washington D.C. from June 10th... Looking at the various press releases on this, you can see each of the major sources using it's own unique pic of Jeff modeling some differe
  17. Interesting! He's headed to the mid-west & south it look like...so I'm glad I ended up going for the two close together Northeast dates- Baltimore & D.C.. (Pittsburgh too)...thought he'd do a little NYC stint for sure...looking forward to hearing more about that solo album that's supposed to be coming out sooner than later too! I'm guessing these are all still solo acoustic dates...though it was reported that that Taste Of Chicago date would have a non-Wilco backing band- so who knows... I wouldn't worry, or read anything into, the "TWEEDY" page...it still leads into "Wilcoworld"...sur
  18. They haven't released "Persia" yet...but supposedly it's part of what may someday still be a new Televsion album. I'm of the feeling that it ain't Television without Richard Lloyd...but...their agreement is, supposedly, if there are any 3 (of the 4) original members that want to record or tour under the name Television, then that's OK. That said, Tom Verlaine & Jimmy Rip/RIpp have worked together for longer than he has with Lloyd. They were together, recording wise, for all the Verlaine solo albums from '82 through '90, & he toured with him those years, & has played with him since
  19. Pittsburgh first, but...now I'm headed to both the Baltimore & Washington D.C. shows...going with an old friend who lives down there (he was one of our crew at Solid Sound 2013) & we'll also be doing a few days worth of jamming amidst my crashing at his place. He truly & deeply get the multiple guitar approach of Television, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Beatles, Stones, etc. ...should be a great time!!!
  20. St. Vincent is my fave artist that's come out after 2000!!! Amazing stuff...
  21. Since the hope for more east coast solo dates seemed to have fizzled out...this is my best bet for a 1-2 punch double thrill. I'm looking for 1, or 2, to each show. I'll probably take the friend I'm staying with to one of the shows, & just go solo to the other. There's tickets for Baltimore around (even one here on the forum), but Washington, D.C. remains a bit problematic, availability & price wise, so far. Respond to the thread here, PM me here, or email me at "HareDurga@yahoo.com"...or....call my cell (585) 813-3561.
  22. Feel free to launch that thread!!! I'm thinking folks are waiting for a more formal announcement...remember Nels mentioning the solo album (first mention of it?) in some interview that was posted here. Looking VERY forward to any & everything from Jeff- first solo album, eventual new Loose Fur, & the next Wilco album!!
  23. I'm not quite sure what to make of the set lists here, since there's lot of potential longer jam workouts...and there's a couple with set lists going into the high teens or low twenty's as well...but some 12 song sets that appear to be shorter. I'm not quite sure where this would leave Wilco as far as set length... Another interesting aspect is what might ensue cross pollination wise. They've certainly played with Bob Weir & Warren Haynes before- though Derek Trucks, Willie Nelson & Steve Winwood are all enticing possibilities too- depending on who's there & when (& as more act
  24. VERY promising info from the official website FAQ- "Music: When does the music start/end each day? In 2013, the music started at 4pm on Thursday, and between 12 and 1pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The main stages finished up between 11pm and 1am each night. There are late night acoustic sets on the Campground "Triangle" Stage on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. 2014 will bring some additional musical surprises..." Has anyone here actually gone to this, & do you know any details about how long bands usually play etc. I just wish I knew if they were headlining. They are the onl
  25. WOW!!! This makes me hopeful that maybe we'll see some 20th Anniversary shows elsewhere this year too. I have an old friend in Baltimore I could stay with (he went to Solid Sound last year- big Wilco fan & a great guitarist too), & The Allman Brothers are playing this too...but... My main concern is, with it being a Festival, how long will their sets be? If I knew that they were headlining both of the two nights & what the set lengths were I'd certainly consider it. Has anyone ever been to this before? Any ideas on how many stages & what the set lengths are? Set length varies w
