  1. Here's the official setlist & I did get it right, with 31 songs & remembered them all actually (thought I left one acoustic one out, but apparently not...) 2. I was headed into town from Akron, after seeing St. Vincent in Cleveland the night before...a stop in Jamestown & then the friend I was going with broke a tooth just hour's before the show, so I had to be hawking it for him right up minutes before showtime...so I was in no shape to try & get the set list here... though I easily sauntered up to about 3-5 people deep in, front & center right as the show started... The main news...the biggest being the second performance of "Pigeons" (one of my requests), which is a total fave of mine from the new album...though "Honey Combed" got dr
  3. First of all, kudos to "Gornok"- great name & avatar (that video is incredibly hilarious)... I was pretty sure we'd see some more dates. I don't think there will be lots more dates forthcoming, but my bet now is that there will be some dates after Thanksgiving & before Christmas that will somehow, inevitably, include a run of dates in Chicago...I'll be surprised in somewhere in California doesn't get the same sort of three show run that the tri-state area did with Port Chester, NY. I think this second bunch of dates is going to be the end of the 20th Anniversary "An Evening With Wilc
  4. Apparently it is called "Why Why Why"...he did it in North Hampton too & it's now listed as one of the songs you can request at the official site...and so I just did for Buffalo (since "Love Like A Wire" looks like it's safely in the set list now...but I'm also going to request "Please Don't Let Me Be So Misunderstood" since he also introduced a first live version of that one in North Hampton too...)... 5. OK so the set list here indicates not only the title of the work in progress song "Why Why Why", but also that there was a live premiere of "Please Don't Let Me Be So Misunderstood" as well!! That leaves only "I'll Sing It", "I'll Never Know" & "Pigeons" as having not been played live (joining "Sunloathe" from "The Whole Love"- still not played by Wilco...he has done it solo acoustic)... https://www.facebook.com/wilcohq/photos/a.127996970420.136900.8290410420/10152739084605421/?type=1&theater Tweedy September 27, 2014 Northampton, MA | Calvin Theatre 01 - Nobody Dies Anymore 02 - Hon
  6. The complete show (originally simulcast & officially archived) from the Brooklyn Academy Of Music last night Tuesday Sept. 23rd- 2 hours & 27 songs long. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnLJgiEAiA0
  7. If anyone rips that B-side please PM me with a file... I'm totally loving it!!!!!!! Also any files for the BAM show (at the very least so I can have a version of "Love Like A Wire" until it comes out as either a B-side or on a Roadcase release) And finally...are there still tickets for Solid Sound 2015 being given away or are those gone too?

  10. All good... hoping someone posts the B-side soon....looking forward to getting a file of it sometime...speaking of which, anyone who reads that last part that has one & would like to PM me here, well, thanks in advance...
  11. Liner notes, eh? Well the eagle had landed here, but it's a CD eagle, & apparently there's a hierarchy of landing eagles & it looks like the vinyl's got something mine ain't got. Too bad, it doesn't seem like it would take much to include that really. Just a few extra pages in the lyric booklet. Hopefully it'll surface somewhere to read...soooooo...if anyone has it to share, please do. Thanks in advance...

  14. Thank you so much for posting this!!! Really hoping this song ends up on an official Roadcase release someday!!! Or at least that he plays it at the BAM show & that someone captures the stream of that show (I'll be at The Tedeschi-Trucks Band Show that night, so I won't be able to.... if anyone does please PM a file here!!!)
  15. Well I'll be seeing The Tedeschi-Trucks Band in Syracuse that night, so I can think of a better reason to miss this than that...but I do really hope that someone captures the stream!!! I'd love to be able to hear it the next day on my way to the Ithaca show on the 24th!! If anyone gets a file of the show please pm me with it!
  16. Thanks!! What did you think of "Love Like A Wire"? And...where did the acoustic set start Sarah?
  17. So really cool Mavis Staples covers!! Wondering where the acoustic set started in here? I'm guessing at 14, 15 or 16... and...most of all- just thrilled to see "Love Like A Wire" continuing in the set list!!! I so hope that there's another second leg of the tour Tweedy Roadcase show that comes out & that "Love Like A Wire" sees an official release. My other big hope is that he does eventually play those last four songs that haven't seen live versions yet, especially "Pigeons" & "I'll Sing It", but also "I'll Never Know" & "Please Don't Let Me Be So Misunderstood", the bookends of t
  18. A recent taping of Sound Opinions, in Chicago, gave us 4 live performances of songs from the forthcoming album "Sukierae", that you'll most certainly be hearing as part of the 1st half (full band electric) of the upcoming shows (2nd half is solo acoustic- then encores featuring both)- "Summer Noon": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3iUKBxA7dDw "Flowering": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgPi4WhJjms "Low Key": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxtoNcd3nqw "Diamond Light": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gENlj1DkMME
  19. While I can understand why most folks are leaning towards being more enamored with disc one: (1. Please Don't Let Me Be So Understood 2. High as Hello 3. World Away 4. Diamond Light 5. Wait for Love 6. Low Key 7. Pigeons 8. Slow Love 9. Nobody Dies Anymore 10. I'll Sing It) And with nothing but full out & out winners there, & a wildly eclectic ride, it's easy to understand more the immediate enthusiasm for the first one....but...the pleasures of disc two are many & varied as well... So let's examine some of those merits of that second disc: (1. Flowering 2. Desert Bell 3. Summer N
  20. Interesting that other folks are hearing the "A Ghost Is Born"/Loose Fur vibe hear a bit too. It's it's own thing, but I think those are some antecedents for where it's coming from a bit... Upon further dissection: If we divide it up as a traditional double album with two platters...then each disc seems to emerge with more of their own distinct personality here too. Disc 1: 1. Please Don't Let Me Be So Understood 2. High as Hello 3. World Away 4. Diamond Light 5. Wait for Love 6. Low Key 7. Pigeons 8. Slow Love 9. Nobody Dies Anymore 10. I'll Sing It Disc 2: 1. 21. Ha!! You're welcome. Well I've been living with most of this material all Summer long. And for the record I've shifted one song, "Nobody Dies Anymore" (oh those backing vocals!) into the better studio column (from the equal column). But I'm still saying that I prefer the live versions of, at least 5, or 1/4 of the songs here (most especially- "Down From Above", "Summer Noon", "Low Key", "Slow Love" & "Diamond Light Part 1".) & will be using the Roadcase versions for a CD-R at some point...of the ones where they're equal I'll more often give a nod to the live versions too, but the I d
  22. I'm a huge Richard Thompson fan (as is Jeff) & there's a little echo of "Beat The Retreat" (from Richard & Linda Thompson's beautiful "Pour Down Like Silver" album) to the feel of this one (even one line "This world is filled with sadness" is shared by both songs, both musically & lyrically the same, & it seems like a little subtle nod there...but "Down From Above" is clearly it's own thing, just has a similar pedigree). I like the album version OK, but honestly it was one of the songs that I can say was a letdown for me when I heard the studio version...largely because I lov
  23. I guess if I had to identify the lesser tracks, at this point, for me they'd be, in no particular order- two of the three waltzes "Desert Bell" & "Hazel" (I adore the other one "Wait For Love"), & "Down From Above". Those numbers (17 out of 20 winners, of varying degrees) justifies the aspect of it being a double album for me, since those lesser songs aren't anything awful by any means. They just sound/feel lesser & are slower lesser songs to boot that serve to bring down the momentum of the album a bit in the second half- it's already slowing down a little in that second half pace
  24. A few listens in & so far, so great!! I had a decent idea of the sound/feel from the 8 pre-order downloads, but this is just so much more when you hear the whole enchilada!!! I think I still might prefer a few live versions of the songs myself (maybe even more live ones over studio than the other way around, so far...), but that may change. This hangs together as a sonic field incredibly well & I'm loving the sequencing too!! Though I have to admit I'll also eventually do my own favorites front loaded edit just for fun. This is, as is usually the case, an amazingly eclectic & fas
