  1. The second recording of this show on Dime is great. Really captures the mood.
  2. I wouldn't mind just one show in England. Been a long time since 2011.

  5. Looking forward to tonight's Glasgow show. Hopefully no brawling locals this time.
  6. I went to and recorded all three shows. They used to be my favourite band growing up but I've not loved them too much since the late 90's when my tastes started to change and a certain Chicago based band pricked my interest. These shows were just a breath of fresh air and despite the sets not changing anything like the recent Wilco shows they managed to pull off three great gigs. Sunday was great, Monday less so but Tuesday was just wonderful. i haven't seen Robert so happy and talkative as he was at these. The Top songs were great, throw in a never played before b-side and some other deep cut
  7. Glad the band have some exposure in a UK daily but disgusted it's The S*n.
  8. Hasn't Jeff played it solo a couple of times? Quite slow and just really the first half of the song.
  9. I was only attempting to dilute further from "Thank you for everything" and "ta...."
  10. Just mastering and all that. Maybe in a couple of hours.
  11. My expectations were fairly low as I've found Sukierae to be only ok but Tweedy blew me away live. So tightly knit and with perfect sound thanks to Stan. I've seen Jeff solo at the benefit shows but the mix for this show was something else. The company was excellent throughout our stay and a big thanks to Mr & Mrs Sam for their wonderful hospitality and generosity. Roll on Glasgow...

  13. Must be the first London show when he hasn't mentioned Shepherd's Bush 97...
  14. I'm confused. Whilst not a DEEP cuts sort of setlist, I'd say the above set was a hell of a lot better than standard. Ashes, Either Way, Hell Is Chrome, Pot Kettle Black, Cars Can't Escape & A Magazine Called Sunset have hardly been staples since 2011. Funny that the one you pick as being a change up from the norm, Spiders (acoustic), has been played a lot in recent years.
  15. Gggggood game, let's have a look at the old scoreboard...
  16. Nice that he still did it despite being distracted. My extended stay here has forced me to probably miss out on next year's benefit shows. I miss standing in line! Your review points out the stark differences between UK and US audiences. I never get the unsolicited yeahs that spoil the most delicate of songs. Another favourite are those who forget the songs with false endings and break into applause before the end. You going to the LA shows?
  17. Thanks, a wonderful review. Something decent to read whilst waiting to be discharged from here. Can't wait to hear the special version of Hummingbird should a recording appear.
  18. Entering into the spirit, I have bought a round Britain travel pass and will visit every public computer in the British Isles over the next month. I'm thinking of asking for Impossible Germany on each.....
  19. Can't believe nobody rated W(TA) or TWL back on the earlier pages. What were they on? Anyway, I've input all relevant info into my shiny new sabermetric app and I've come to the following conclusion. AM, BT, S, YHF, AGIB, SBS, W(TA), TWL
