Just announced at the Flynn after William Tyler's set. No standing. No dancing. No blocking aisles. Dancing is permitted in the far back of the theater. This should be interesting. I just trekked 300 miles outta 2 feet of snow for this. Good luck keeping me down!!!

Lucky enough to be up front for the first of seven straight at the Bowery Ballroom. Henry Rollins introducing band from balcony. Ripped thru Dinosaur (like they will every nite). Special guests. Steve Gunn (yeah we know) Eleanor Friedberger (get me) Kurt Vile (crumble & Cortez the killer) Kim Gordon (don't) Wasn't there last night but guests included Lee Ranaldo, Frank Black & Fred Armisen. Highly recommended you get to one if you can. 4 more after tonite!!!

Kim Gordon with Kurt Vile covering Sister Ray, Parquet Courts backing Lee Ranaldo on Mote & Eric's trip, Superchunk as energetic as ever & new Deer Tick to close out the night (& smoked a butt with John McCauley). Good night.

Free Tommy Stinson show on Avenue A in the East Village in one of Jesse Malin's new basement spots. His manager saw a post of mine in a 'Mats group & stopped in my bar around the corner the other night. Good times.
