Was starting to wonder about whether this event would happen or not myself last night (but also realizing how much work the shows must be to organize and understanding how it may not be feasible this year). There was a 2 month lead time on ticket sales last time (tix went on sale mid December 2013).

It's hard to comprehend this being published in the National Post - unreal. That said, a bunch of us waiting to move up front after the photographers were ushered out after the first 3 songs wondered about just what the criteria were for getting media wristbands...I swear there were "photographers" there who looked like they were 16 using iPhones for their photo shoot. The order of the songs was not as listed and they didn't play Whole Love or Airplane, but did play Passenger Side, ITMWLY...maybe one more...(I'll Sing It? - don't quote me). No encores at this festival (they didn't close). I thought it was a fun, loose show with lots of joking with the crowd. So the Autumn Defense have just announced for the 9th which has got me thinking about a few vacation days in Chicago (in the summer for a change). How does this work for the concerts? It is free for lawn and ticketed for something closer to the stage?

I wondered the same thing when I first heard a reference to a new solo album.

I have the same hopes linclink regarding shows in NY state (and I live in Ontario just 40 mins from TO)...I already bought my 3 day pass for TURF and have to decide now about whether I want to sell it and get 2 single day tix so I can drive up to Ottawa on the 4th. I don't think they are posting the day-by-day schedule for TURF until April 9th. I agree about Bluesfest rarely selling out of single day tickets- I think it's a pretty safe assumption you can get a single day given the size and the number of days the festival runs (except maybe for some of the weekend days where the huge "draws" a

Toronto Urban Roots Festival - listed as one of the headliners July 4-6: http://torontourbanrootsfest.com/lineup/ The Ottawa Bluesfest starts the same weekend and runs for 10 days - it brings in a lot of big acts (many of which are anything but blues)...I could see a show being added to that one. The lineup hasn't been announced there yet.
