  1. Kind of a light late summer/fall for me: 10/15: The Who 10/16: Bronze Radio Returns 11/5: Yo La Tengo 11/14: Drive-By Truckers
  2. Tigers send Cespedes to the Mets for two prospects -- one of whom may step right into Detroit's rotation.
  3. ^^^ Paul, Bob, whomever. All I know is that I love it!
  4. Since the thread title is "favorite" and not "best," I'm going to add Bob Stinson's guitar on The Replacements "Answering Machine."
  5. ^^^ Awesome. The new album got great reviews. Please report back.
  6. I wish I hadn't seen this thread -- now I'm not going to get any work done the rest of the day! Here's my first reaction (not in order): 1. Richard Thompson -- Wall of Death or Night Comes In. The greatest guitar player I've ever seen. Close your eyes and you think there are three guys on stage playing guitar. 2. Pete Townshend -- Pure and Easy. The last 2 minutes of the Who's version is pretty amazing. 3. Steve Howe -- The Wurm (Last Part of Starship Trooper off The Yes Album). 4. Mick Taylor -- Can't You Hear Me Knockin.' Yeah, Keith is pretty good on this one too! 5. Eric Clap

I've enjoyed all of Jason's solo albums, but perhaps success (critical and popular) has made Isbell unwilling to push the borders of the sweet sp
  8. The last installment of the trilogy. Loved the first two.
  9. Are you suggesting that no one is Better Than Ezra?
  10. It normally takes me at least three listens to any album for me to get warmed up to it. But after only two, I LOVE this new album.. It's almost like Nels threatened to quit the band if they didn't make an album like this. And were Mikael and Pat locked out of the studio?
  11. ^^^ That "awful lounge act witch?" It's all make-up. Her name is Lera Lynn and if you ever see her in person (I caught her act at The American Music Festival from about 10 feet away), you would be shocked. In real life she is stunning -- drop dead beautiful. So much so that my wife wouldn't allow me to take her picture. Oh, and she is a talented singer and songwriter too!
