I remember someone from here saying that the guys in Vampire Weekend sounded barely passable when the album came out, but man, listening to it and seeing them live a couple of times, I can't see that. These guys are extremely musical, and they know how to make a great pop song. That might not be enough for most people, but it's been the soundtrack of my summer, so it's good enough for me.

That's mostly where I stand on this. The guy is guilty as anyone can be, but the arrogance the state is showing in this case is appalling. Basically, Texas feels it is independent of both US and International law.

Been having a pretty good discussion about this on another board (where there are a lot of conservatives), so I'm interested in seeing the take from this place.
