I saw Cheap Trick a couple years ago and they were pretty lousy. Surprisingly bad sound and boring as hell. Thank God they were openers, not headliners. A real disappointment. Yes should have been in a long time ago, but screw them for what they did to Jon Anderson. Karma is a bitch.

Hope you enjoy it, Lou. Tell all your friends!Press release out today. I'm really pleased with where we are now. Lot of hard work. Oh, the novels are Miles of Files, Jana, and Brothers' Hand, and they're under my standard byline, Michael J. Sahno. -
Not DJ-ing like our resident LouieB, but I will be interviewed tomorrow morning at 7:15 Eastern on WAPJ 89.9 FM in CT, or online at WAPJ.org. I know we don't do sales/promotions here, but this interview is about my company, Sahno Publishing, and the forthcoming release of my first three novels on Thursday the 10th. PM me for more info about where to get the books, or you can just Google it.

Stevie Nicks (guilty pleasure?)

Saw her in the 80s and she was incredible. No guilt at all. -
I got the 6-disc version from Amazon, because this is the Dylan mother lode for me. Into disc 3 now, and it's worth it. Revelatory. Here's a review of the18-disc set: http://nodepression.com/album-review/review-cutting-edge-bob-dylan-how-does-it-feel-so-very-good

Anyone order the Roxy movie? I just got mine and was surprised to find that there's a soundtrack CD that comes with it! Fifteen bucks on Amazon, can't beat that.

This new Dave's is a really nice release. I have bitched a lot in the past about various picks, but this has some nice highlights. And I still have one disc to go. Enjoy, y'all!

Pretty sure my brother was at that show. Small world. I was in VA at the time. Caught them about a week earlier.
-
I really, really disliked the midi stuff. In retrospect, it was that, combined with Brent's death and Jer's overall decline, that caused me to drift away from them their last few years.
-
Sadly, Built to Last wasn't.
-
You guys cracked me up with those.

I wonder if Yes will pull a KISS and perform without Jon Anderson. That would be a travesty.

Apparently, it's already sold out. Wow.

Coooool. First concert I ever attended was at that place: Kiss in '78. This is in my wheelhouse, too. Long show, lots of songs. Better than the last pick, IMHO,
-
What Zappa song would you pick?

It's kind of sad how, increasingly, next to nobody knows who these folks are. Bluesmen, too. I saw Pinetop Perkins a year before his passing, and it was in a tiny venue. Music has changed a lot in the last few years.
-
I would totally buy it too, if I could afford it. I hope I can find a download at some point.
-
Yep.

Wazoo is just okay, but Imaginary Diseases (from that same general timeframe) is excellent.

They played both Touch of Grey and Throwing Stones at my first show in '82, so to me they always sounded like early 80s. I remember thinking it was weird that they didn't come out til '87. A lot of people love 10/10, but I'm a much bigger fan of the night before. That Frost run would make a nice box set.
