  1. Okay, obviously I couldn't resist the temptation to peek, since I'm here talking about it. Dylan will likely perform Things Have Changed, Love Sick, High Water (For Charley Patton), Soon after Midnight, Early Roman Kings, Duquesne Whistle, Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat, All Along the Watchtower, Thunder on the Mountain and Ballad of a Thin Man every show. The big question is, will he play any of the others? He might drop Tangled and play Visions, or switch out something else for She Belongs to Me, like Summer Days, Scarlet Town, or something else played last month. Beyond that, probably not man
  2. I think you'll find some details on that earlier in the thread. What I'm wondering is did Weir sing on Ripple only, or do some backup vocals on Cali Stars? By the way, on Dylan: I read a while ago that he has some arthritis which has led him to give up the guitar for the most part. Pretty good reason, I'd say.
  3. Yeah, and the good thing about Dylan (well, sorta good) is that he will no doubt drop Tangled Up in Blue and play Visions of Johanna in its place some nights, or something like that. Of course, many of us would prefer he drop the newer songs, but ain't gonna happen.
  4. Yeah, I don't have any expectation of him having the other performers come out during his set. Not saying it would never happen, but I would recommend folks just stick around to pay him his due as well.
  5. True, but I suspect there will be YouTube videos from people's cell phones popping up, and ultimately someone will cobble together some sort of AUD recording. I see Dylan shows online all the time, just not soundboards.
  6. Anyone wants to be surprised by Dylan's set, best get out of here before someone posts it. Odds are very good it will be the same every night, though it might be different from what he was doing a few weeks ago. I'm going to try to resist the temptation to peek.
  7. No worries, Bobby is giving Jeff a refresher so he can learn it for good!
  8. Oh yeah, that is exactly what I was hoping for. I seriously want to see something like that tomorrow!
  9. Point taken. I figured it had more to do with conserving one's voice, but who knows?
  10. I don't know, 66rebilac, you might be wrong about that. I believe that some of our VC gun enthusiasts are packing heat everywhere they go: in the bathrobe pocket, at the breakfast table...hell, there might even be a waterproof weapon available for the shower! Never know when an intruder will break through your wall and come atcha...
  11. Hey, Smith & Wesson is making a ton of money! Yay! They are "job creators," right? http://www.dailyfinance.com/2013/06/26/smith-wesson-earnings-rise-heineken-flash-bottles
  12. Is there a drug you can take that only has the effect of making you 1) A little dour and 2) Slightly paranoid? And if so, what are the enjoyable side effects?
  13. Thanks, Sweet Melinda! Or should we call you the goddess of gloom?
  14. Most of us will just be happy to have 1) A setlist, or 2) A few comments about the overall experience. Enjoy! I'll be at the Tampa one tomorrow!
  15. Nah, ADP has an 800# that is available 24/7. In other news, the Supreme Court just overturned DOMA. Is that supposed to make me feel better about what they did to the Voting Rights Act yesterday? And, more importantly, does it make me a cynic for having that be my first reaction?
  16. I think it depends a lot on how each venue is set up. I know the one I'm going to Thursday night has a "general admission pit" area in front of all of the reserved seats, and I strongly suspect they will not allow any chairs in there: standing room only for five freaking hours (I will likely take a big break to go sit down somewhere during MMJ). I think this particular venue allows about 500 people into that area, so I'm only showing up an hour before the show starts. It's Florida, it will be 4:30 p.m., and 95 degrees. An hour early for a 5-6 hour event is plenty for me.
  17. Yeah, and another way of looking at that video would be to say, Wow, good thing she didn't have a gun upstairs. If the intruder found it as he was looking through her things, he might have come back downstairs and shot her and her children with it. The way I figure it, when your number is up, it's up. Fortunately, hers wasn't.
