  1. Hey, I saw this in the "Has anyone gotten their Front Gate Tix yet?" It looks like Triple Letters are all PIT tickets, which adds to further confusion since there really isn't any need for an email telling you what they told you. I assume the pit is just that an open pit, but it seems like there's actual seats. Maybe the above helps.
  2. Hmm...somehow I overlooked this or read it differently in my head. I guess I was blind sided by the bring up of Mr. Oscar. Edit: To address the why did it garner 10 Oscar nominations, I'm willing to go down that pessimistic/conspiracy theorist road. Well, for one Jason Reitman is kind of born into Hollwood "royalty". LOL. Yeah, the idea that Ivan Reitman can be considered "royalty" is funny, but he did create a lot of classic comedies (which is funny because the Oscars stick their nose up to them, although a lot of comedies save a lot of studios asses due to being made for modest budget
  3. Wow! This sounds like a carbon copy of a stance of a good friend of mine. I'll use some of the same questions that I asked him. How about if the movie had 0 Oscar nominations? Would you consider it better than great? Before I continue I don't want to sound too pompous, but things like that really upset me. And I feel the need to psychoanalyze people to see what they were thinking for preconceptions before going into the film. To me, that seems like the biggest thing that always seems to be the case. I saw the film on the 1st night of it's wide release opening December 23rd. I knew that th
  4. I have to disagree with you here. I think that she played a pivotal role in the film depending on how you look at it. As you said she was "eye candy". Ok. Now take that into consideration for the story and Jeremy Renner's character motivation to keep going after bombs. It seems kind of silly for him to be over "there", while he has God damn Evangeline Lilly over at home...plus with a kid too, right? To me that spoke volumes about his character, especially considering we knew he was that "thrill seeking" type of soldier without fear. They could have had any lesser known actress like her in th
  5. Wow! I can't believe that this thread is back in action. But yeah, I also read that Kevin Eubanks is out of a job. Not sure if he was forced out or if they want someone else to say "hahha that's right, Jay!" I could do that job, if you paid me in Chex mix.
  6. Actually, I didn't record it. I was using other live recordings of tracks to keep up with the setlist on my iTunes. I'm sure once it gets to the Roadcase, it will be easier to get.
  7. Speaking of setlists we're missing at least 3 of the Canadian shows from last week. And the Duluth show's setlist is in the After The Show thread, but from a MN newspaper review. Edit: If a WIlco setlist doesn't appear in the After The Show thread, then does the show really happen?
  8. You are missing One Wing between IATTBYH & Shot. How do I know that? Well, I'm being a real geek by making an iTunes playlist (of live tracks) as the show goes along.
  9. This song goes out to George Simmons.
  10. This seems rather early for Sonny Feeling. Also, I'm sure I'm not the only one who knew it was coming from the few notes that were played during the banter.
  11. Hwilo, You should try and update your Quick Time to the latest version and then reboot your computer. At least worth giving it a shot.
  12. We shouldn't forget that on this very day in 2008 Wilco also had a webcast for the 5th & final night of the residency. What a show that was!!! 1. Sunken Treasure 2. One By One 3. Shouldn't Be Ashamed 4. You Are My Face 5. Side With The Seeds 6. Pot Kettle Black 7. War On War 8. Pieholden Suite (w/ horns & Andrew Bird on violin) 9. Muzzle Of Bees (w/ Andrew Bird) 10. It's Just That Simple 11. Nothing'severgonnastandinmyway(again) 12. I Thought I Held You 13. What Light (w/ horns) 14. When You Wake Up Feeling Old 15. Summer Teeth (w/ Andrew Bird) 16. Jesus, Etc. 17. Walken (w/ horns)
  13. I'm pretty sure every webcast in the past has been audio. Although, recently they added pictures from the road which confused some of us thinking it was live shots.
  14. Anyone remember that old Dragon Slaying arcade game? This was also choose your own adventure. Edit: It was called Dragon's Lair and here it is... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVvlTx49l5k&feature=related
  15. Absolutely Incredible! This needs to be seen to be fully appreciated for all of the camera "tricks" that were either aesthetic choices or the effect of having a poorly trained film crew. Also, there is the unapologetic exposition & character motivation practically spoon fed to its' demographic. Excellent dialog and a top notch performance from Michael Jai White who makes this film work wonders. Trick someone into thinking that this is a 70s film, they would never know. Oh! How could I forget the amazing Anaconda Malt Liquor commercial that precedes this 80 minutes of cinematic heaven and
  16. I'm a bit confused by their email to give you my thoughts. But I'll try anyways. Were you supposed to be in the PIT as listed in their email to you? I doubt it, since that wouldn't really be a seat or row at all. And I ask because if there were to be a PIT then they would have to remove seats and rows to make room for one. So with that in mind I was going to say maybe they decided what's the point of not having 2 rows, why not 3. Assuming you were going to be in CCC and rows AAA & BBB don't exist due to a PIT. Or it could be that by being that close seats on the very left end begin
  17. Front Cover for this week's Entertainment Weekly: Jack & Claire. Solving The Mysteries Of Lost: Who's good? Who's bad? Who's dead? A Preview Of The Final Episodes. I'm sure this may be online as of right now. This doesn't hit newsstands until next Friday the 26th. I'll read this in a bit and let you know if there's anything worth noting. Probably not though, since it's usually teases.
  18. Also, according to CNN they say that the small airplane was stolen. He is a software engineer out of California.
  19. Honestly, while watching CNN I had to laugh when they said that the suicide note was 7 pages long. I'm not familiar with the lengths of suicide notes, but now that I read it it leaves very little for the investigators to figure out a motivation. I hope that this doesn't open up the floodgates for future suicide acts of pissed off people.
  20. Anyone see Joe Torre on last week's Castle (with Nathan FIllion & Stana Katic on ABC)? Old Joe likes to be a celebrity after all is said and done. I was surprised by his performance on the Larry King show. I thought he was a narcoleptic manager, not one who wants to promote a tell all book (maybe not 100 % tell all but you know controversial to a certain level to sell books) and do nickel & dime cameos. I didn't have him pegged for that. But I still respect him as a manager. (coming from a Red Sox fan too.) Maybe Tito Francona can do a remake of Kojak and we'll call it even.
  21. Oh yeah! WTF was up with Sawyer's white boxer shorts?! It looked like he shit himself...and that was before MIB came to visit him.
  22. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oUc9gGSeaY
  23. See I went back and watched the whole episode again and to me it's pretty clear that MIB sees the boy and then the boy disappears before Richard turns around. It happens pretty quick. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it played out as I just wrote seconds ago. Also, I had a good laugh at the nicknames being given to Locke & Claire. Locke = Locke Ness Monster Claire = Clousseau
  24. One more thought that crept into my wandering wondering mind.
