  1. I did some digging around on WilcoWorld and came across this which I never saw back in late August. It’s a bit upsetting, but there’s the answer…,
  2. I posed the same question over in the Facebook group and no one replied with the answer that I was seeking. My guess is that they put one of the Road Cases back on and it’s tough to realize which one wasn’t there before. Or as you said they simply forgot! Lol
  3. Excellent news! PS…I asked about the Half Life/I Can’t single and they are also selling that one. $28 for both which includes shipping. A bit odd to email them directly to get the ball rolling, but I’m just glad that they’re being offered.
  4. The Tweedy Show Monday September 27 Episode 202 -- Spencer welcomes the clients to the Tweedy Show. — Jeff & Susie both say that it's been a long time, since the last episode. — Susie finds out that Paul is at a Squeeze concert which prompts Jeff to sing brief bits of Pulling Muscles (From The Shell) & Tempted. Jeff also mentions that he doesn't know the guys from Squeeze. Say I Love You Again (Last played on April 12th when it was untitled. It could also be titled Say You Love Me Again, according to Jeff. Spencer on thigh slaps & backing vocals.) -- Jeff s
  5. In case if you missed this recent announcement…👍👍
  6. I think there was a Western Mass movie theater that had it available to rent online via their website. I never watched it, but I’ll certainly look for it. I’m in NH, so I get the Mass & NH PBS channels. I’ll let you know, if I see it on there. Oh! Thank you for the heads up!
  7. David Lowery’s The Green Knight is one of the most visually stunning films in years. It’s also what I would consider to be one of the best films this year. (Available in theaters & on VOD for $19.99. Price should drop on October 12th same day as Blu-ray release in the U.S.)
  8. The Tweedy Show Thursday September 2 Episode 201 -- Sammy welcomes the clients to the Tweedy Show. -- Sammy, Eugenia, Spencer & Susie are there. -- Jeff jokes that they recast Sammy with a mulletted actor. -- The word "computer" drives Alexa crazy. -- Jeff jokes that Paul is still in the tub. -- Spencer says that he celebrated Paul's birthday with him in Indiana. -- Jeff thanks the clients for hanging out in Starship Casual. Mi Shebeirach (Debbie Friedman cover sung by Sammy w Spencer on backing vocals.) Holy Ghost (Low cover sung by Sammy. Spencer on drums.)
  9. I view the Substack subscription as a Jeff Tweedy boxset happening in real time. You get songs with some writings that one can consider liner notes. I know that it’s tied in more with the thinking that it’s stuff that could be an addendum to his book(s). I have enjoyed everything so far that he has posted. There were a couple of songs that were complete surprises because they were never played on The Tweedy Show. I can kinda see why folks would be upset about a subscription cost tied to this venture, but try to take these changes in the arts & entertainment industry
  10. The A.M. song that was requested was Pick Up The Change, according to other reports. Maybe drunk lady kept falling down to pick up the change. 🤦🏻‍♂️
  11. Yes! It’s pretty crazy, right? The NBA Draft was happening during that 2007 show and the Boston Celtics assembled the new Big 3 that night. It certainly feels so long ago, when you look at it through that lens. I think the obvious reason for skipping Boston in the summer is due to Solid Sound which I’m sure crossed your mind. I’m not complaining at all, as I feel extremely fortunate to be so close to Mass MoCa, but there definitely has been a lack of summertime Boston proper shows since Solid Sound came into the picture.
  12. Happy Birthday, Jeff!! Thanks for everything!
  13. Yes, it's on WilcoWorld. See where it says Info for the Philadelphia show? Click on Info for any of the past shows to get the setlist.
  14. All set times for this tour are on WilcoWorld’s Shows page. Here is the listing for the Boston show. https://wilcoworld.net/shows/ They’re also adding the setlists to each listing.
  15. If they kept the same exact setlist from Spokane, then I would say that you’re right. The way that I see it is that they’ve been adding and dropping songs at every show which to me makes it unique, even if there are a lot of songs that have been played at every show so far. It’s not anywhere on the same level as say Solid Sound, Sky Blue Sky or the Winterlude shows, but it’s pretty good.
  16. Thank you again for the recap! I’m happy with how the setlists have been. There have been 5 shows and 5 unique setlists to my eyes. It looks like last night the order was shuffled around to keep you on your toes. Plus, who would’ve guessed that they’d be playing those songs from Sky Blue Sky again. The representation from that album has been so prominent I was thinking that it was the 15th anniversary already. I did see a printed setlist over at the other place and 2 songs were dropped: What Light was sandwiched between I’m The Man Who Loves You and Heavy Metal Drummer
  17. I think those were outtakes from A Ghost Is Born. Or was it The Wilco Book? I guess they were sorta the same sessions. I’m way more excited for a possible AGIB deluxe edition. I feel like we’ve heard everything from the YHF era with the 2 sets of demos that circulated, but I hope that’s not the case.
  18. Thanks for the recap and taping! Someone posted a really blurry pic of the setlist and it looks like The Late Greats and Spiders were on the setlist to open the encore. That’s great news if they decide to release every show from this tour. FWIW, I woke up last night at 3am on the east coast and I checked WilcoWorld for the setlist and it was there. It’s under the show info where they list the set times. That might be the new norm.
  19. I agree! It’s really big news to have 2 new songs to listen to this year. Plus, the Sleater-Kinney cover. I kinda want to ask over in the FB group, but that usually leads to asking if someone can post the song or if someone can pick up the vinyl. I’ll continue to be patient.
  20. Wilcoworld posted last night’s setlist under the show info. I never thought of checking there, until someone mentioned it. I didn’t see anything either on the places that you brought up.
  21. Weird that Nic Cage was also brought up in The Thin Red Line review, in regards to David Gordon Green’s Joe. I just saw Pig the other night and thought that it was great. Cage is really terrific here. I only knew of the basic plot. I told a friend it would be like if A24 had made the John Wick films. It has that type of rhythm to it. I won’t discuss the themes of the film because that would spoil the overall experience. (Available to rent on VOD. It’s not $19.99 either which was a relief.)
  22. Yes! Yes! Yes! I saw this when I was about 20. I went out to a theater that was playing it in December, before it hit a wider release in January. My mind was completely blown. The score, the cinematography, the narration. I didn’t think that you could make a war film like that. Keep in mind that Saving Private Ryan had just come out 5 months prior, so this was a completely different experience. It didn’t bother me at all that certain actors had one or two scenes and then they disappeared from the film. That felt very realistic to me. I’ll show some love for Cusack who I thought was a
  23. Here’s the Wilco single that you’re talking about. The b-side is I Can’t which I’ve never heard of either. It’s possible that it’s been played on TTS. I don’t have this in my hands, but I’m the one that asked about this other mystery 7 inch because Paul mentioned it in his recap. Another person in the thread mentioned that there’s a bundle deal if you buy both 7 inch singles.
  24. Sometimes it pays off to be a night owl. I decided to check Nugs after midnight and was surprised to find that the 2008 Cain’s Ballroom show was added today. I don’t remember which songs from this show made it on the Ashes DVD, but the setlist looks killer. Off to listen to some of it now.
