last year my friends and i made crafty valentine cards for each other. it was fun and showed the love. i, for one, look forward to playing valentine's songs on my friend's radio show that day. that's my big plan.

I keep thinking I've said goodbye for the last time...but I still haven't made peace with this yet. Kate and Robin...I tried my hardest to find my way up to Ste. Genevieve on Saturday, but it just didn't work. The memorial looks like it was absolutely lovely and I'm so glad that you two actually did it. I suppose the only way to make this easier is to keep fighting for the causes that Nat devoted her life to. She influenced my feminist views of the world so much and now it's an incredibly important part of my life as well.

FUCK. This is one of those things that's not supposed to happen. I have my tinfoil Ste. Genevieve sitting above the fireplace at my house in Carbondale, keeping the bad spirits and the floods away. The sentient action figure stories were brilliant. They were one of my all time favorite moments in VC history. I've seen it 3 times in the past hour on TV, it's really starting to get into my subconcious! "Positively 4th Street" is the ringtone I have set for my former roommate. Also: "Come Pick Me Up" by Ryan Adams always seem to get me into a real 'fuck you' mood. "How Could Anybody Possibly Know How I Feel?" by Morrissey ain't bad either. "Twist the Knife" by Neko Case is on the list as well. Honestly, I could go on forever...I've got a playlist on my ipod called "PMS Attack aka Fuck You World" that's got at least 75 tracks in it.
