  1. hey birdjam, i'm in your pic! anychance you can send me a larger copy of the file? not for commercial purposes, of course. i was wondering what the crowd looked like from up there. couldn't tell the size from where we were.
  2. the sound was noteworthy. i even noticed some very clean pat maraccas during one song! cris-py! i love to imagine Nels calling you "super rad." that is fantastic image! and now, for those patient enough to make it this far, The (annotated) Set List: --tv theme intro (what is this? lou grant?) --sunken t--the new arrangement. the build at the end is so uplifting! --you are my face--gorgeous outro! --side with the seeds--"embracing the situation, is our only chance to be free..." --IATTBYH--nels stood over to the side of mike to play along b4 the "dixie cup" section --shake it off
  3. first off: !!!!! holy hell, that was a FANTASTIC SHOW! i do believe that i danced out the stuffiness that has been threatening my sinuses since getting drenched last night. oh man, i was all set to post the set list and realized i'd left it in the car. d'oh! i can add a few things to notes to Len's post: this show had serious momentum! a cooker, to be sure. --during hummingbird jeff came out to the front of the stage and brought a girl (+/- 7 yrs old) up onto the stage and sang the song with her. at the break they danced together, jeff twirling her, then taking a bow as t
  4. i loved loved loved the start of the set. the songs felt strategically selected for the weather. "maybe the sun will shiiiiine today..." hearing impossible in that downpour, with the gorgeous lights on the stage. damn, damn, damn. fucking BEAUTIFUL. my chief complaint about the rain was that it was loud. during some of the quieter tunes (and due to the volume limit) the rain made it difficult to hear the music. not impossible. it also made the crowd less settled than usual. still: danced and danced. jeff introduced pat's family as "clansone" at the end of the night, i
  5. lovely shots, keith! glad you got a good one of everyone. your pix reminded me that the stage lights didn't come on until impossible germany. the sun had gotten low enough to turn them on. the pic of jeff w/ his arm raised as he is looking up is when he is singing "as we all can plainly see..." and the pic of jeff smiling. boy, that was the set right there.
  6. the sun was starting to get low in the sky during the set, too. lovely

  10. last day of the festival, wilco on the main stage, 4:30p FANTASTIC! a post-festival, sleepy reconstruction of some of the set list NOT IN ORDER: -you are my face -side with the seeds -shot in the arm -sb sky -walken -*jeff invites the audience to, "check this shit out": -shake it off -hummingbird -via chicago -handshake drugs -impossible germany -war on war -IATTBYH -ITMWLY -jesus, etc. -spiders --------------------------- -late greats -HM drummer the guys looked to really enjoy their time on stage. lots of smiles all around despite a broken string for jeff and an odd bump in the
