one "too far apart" call deserves another! i made about 14 calls to friends during this show (wilco & andrew b.). good thing i couldn't get cell reception at the show in iowa city! btw--LOOOOOVE this venue. what a little slice o'heaven. and boulevard on tap. *sigh*

boy howdy! after the show last night, walking through town with my road trip pals and deepsea, i said, "i'm gonna be riding this weekend for a long time." what a FANTASTIC pair of shows! danced my socks off, hollered at the top of my lungs, sang and sang and sang! got to work today straight from LAX. same old stuff. you'd think the building was on fire the way we're running around in emergency-sprint mode. still. songs from the shows keep bubbling up, i find myself humming or singing out loud. HOORAY HOORAY HOORAY for live music, friends and getting out of dodge once in awhile.

i've never been an english major, but i will be at this show. not correcting anyone's essays with a red pen. although i might be carrying a red pen. just in case...

singers @ safari sam's! woo! sam's is a swell place, and not far from home for those travelling for this show: sam's is mere blocks from zankou chicken. oh yes.

for the chucks lovers out there: friends turned me on to a shoe insert called "2 ounce miracle" they have made my chucks super comfy and add support! got the inserts at target. super brief: after this show, sighed all the way to pete's kitchen for late night french toast and bacon (natch) and then all the way to back to the hote. swoony with the fantastic set list: sublime->racous->gorgeous->head banging... i re-bruised the knee i'd smacked while dancing at the greek last week. FIERCE! wotta hoot! wotta riot! wotta great fucking crowd! EN FUEGO! especially great to see these guys burn off the ghosts of those less-than-intimate, often stodgy, reserved seat venues. for them, and us. :dancing also: after the show, took a side trip to
