Well, not to nitpick too much, but the building itself is the Hall of Fame and Museum. The Hall of Fame is meant to honor people, and the museum is meant to record the history of the game. And Pete Rose is in the museum. His records are acknowledged. There are pictures of him. He's just not in the Hall. They're not pretending he didn't exist.

The reason gambling is such a no-no in baseball goes back to the Black Sox scandal. In 1919, gambling almost destroyed the game. If Babe Ruth didn't come along and save it, baseball would have crumbled. Fact. Steroids are certainly a big black mark on the game, but they have never threated the continued success of the sport the way that gambling did in 1919. It may take some time, but baseball can and will recover from the steroids scandal. Relatively speaking, it hasn't been hurt nearly as badly by steroids. Not even in the same ballpark. I'm not sure if Pete Rose will ever get in

I actually have Davidson in that game. I hope they can pull it out. It's always huge when random upset picks work out. I'm at work, so I can't actually watch the game. Can someone with access to a TV verify that Stanford is actually playing 5 guys on the floor? The way that game is playing out, I don't see how they can have more than maybe 2-3 guys out there.

The thing is, they have to show up 6 times in a row. That's the hard part. I really don't think UVA is going to win it, but I wouldn't criticize the pick. To win those pools, you often have to make a few crazy picks and hope you get lucky. Yeah, Virginia is less likely to win than, say, Florida, but a ton of people are picking Florida. If you pick Florida and they win, you could still end up in the middle of the pack, but if Virginia wins, you're likely to win and if not you certainly will come close.

There are some rumors that Amaker may get an extra year because his wife is a big donor and they don't want to lose her money. He needs to go though. He got hired my freshman year and it was so exciting (even though everyone was still pretty pissed off about Pitino). Even went to the big welcoming pep rally at Crisler Arena. What a bust. If you can't get to the tournament when you've got a Big 10 team starting 4 seniors and a junior, all of whom came in after the sanctions ended, then you deserve to lose your job.

The players like him because, unlike Larry Brown, Isiah lets them run wild. Yeah, they're definately improved over last year, but that doesn't say much. They were so bad last year that simply a year of experience should have be enough to show some improvement. I'm glad to see this though. Not that I thought Dumars would ever hire Isiah anyway, but I didn't like the way that Isiah was angling for it. Too close for comfort.

Why do people hate America? You should support our troops by completely ignoring the fact that injured vets are being sent back into battle. The best way to support them is to completely disregard their well-being.
