It's way too early to start saying that. Yeah, this is a big injury, definately career threatening, but he's still 3 years and 5 injuries away from getting that label, IMO.

Well, I was hoping to get an exciting game, but that wasn't exactly what I had in mind. At least they didn't lose. -
I'm pretty sure Rick Rubin is still hard at work at 4 or 5 new Johnny Cash albums.

Would have been easier to just re-read one copy.

You might be the best poster here.

They could salute themselves by having some dignity and hanging it up.

Wow, that sucks. Apparently Dr. Jeff Brantley was right.

Wow. I thought that they'd sunk to the lowest depths possible years ago. But I was wrong. This is simply amazing. Why don't bands just break up anymore?

It's not too late. -
Uh...Inge...Crede....uh.....Mike Lowell?

Although, one could definately dispute that Jeter's defense has declined in the last few years. Just looking at range factor (and yeah, I know that one stat doesn't tell the whole story), he had a down year in the field this year, but the previous two seasons were among the best of his career.
-
The Gold Glove is almost always more of a career achievement award anyway. Jeter had an indisputably great year, so they're going to give him whatever they can. Giving the Gold Glove to him is not nearly as wrong as giving him that Hank Aaron award though.

This is the first time since high school that I've had to drive into town for a game, so I appreciate the tip. I'm not sure if I would have even thought of trying to park in that part of town. Sounds like heading that way gives us a better chance of being somewhat close to the stadium than any other part of time. Definately don't mind walking a mile. We're not going to get there very early, as we aren't leaving Chicago until early Saturday morning. We'll make due though, I guess. -

You live west of the stadium, right? I have some friends who are still around campus who may save us a parking spot in their lot, but they probably will forget, so I'll probably keep this in mind. -
I just found out tonight that the Pacers have Maceo Baston. So...they're finished.

I'm setting the over-under on 'Sheed ejections this year at 45.

I don't know if that's true...but if it is, then that is spectacular. I saw RHCP play in Pontiac just before Californication was released, and totally saw Chad Smith drive off in an old Buick with his parents. It was fucking adorable.

Pistons looked awful tonight.

It certainly doesn't say anything about him performing, even if he is there. -
That's fine. I like candy. I assume you'll be taking care of my plane ticket to get out there too, right? If not, I'll start walking, but I can't promise that I'll get the job done before Thanksgiving.

Wasn't the reason that it took so long for the Stone Roses to release that second album because of legal issues with their record label? Anyway, Mission of Burma took like 18 years off.
-
I'll do it.

Oh, I don't think people who join the army are necessarily stupid (well, not moreso than the general population anyway -- I'm sure it's got its share of idiots). But it is disproportionately full of those who are uneducated. Uneducated is not the same as stupid. A lot of those who enlisted did so because they come from a poor background and the military provided them with the best opportunity to get out of the ghetto or whatever. For someone who doesn't have access to the resources they need for college, trade school, whatever, it's a smart move, at least in times of better leadership.
