  1. He looked awesome in the 3 junk minutes he played for the Pistons last year.
  2. Wait, did this incident happen in Ann Arbor? Was the team still in Ann Arbor that night? I would think they would have been in, or on their way to, Happy Valley at that point. Ypsilanti is the location of the district court, I think. Or is that part of the complex at Main and Huron? I don't think it is...
  3. Or the way in which 9/11 was exploited to lead us into Iraq...
  4. Who says? I hear people complain about that characterization a lot, but I'm not sure who it is that they're accusing of making that characterization. It's always a generic "democrats" or "liberals". I never know who they're talking about specifically.
  5. I don't think of myself as being all that old, but I still remember LaRussa pretty clearly as the A's manager. But yeah, I guess this was his 11th year in St. Louis already. Much longer than it seems.
  6. OSU looks poised to be contenders for a long time though, so you'll be seeing them nearly every week for quite a while. And yeah, Rutgers plays weak competition, but they look legit, strange as it seems. No, they're not going to compete with the best teams in the Big Ten or the SEC, but they're definately for a very good team this year.
  7. Yes, the evidence continues to mount to prove this.
  8. I've always thought Pujols was awfully likeable for a superstar that doesn't play for my team.
  9. Zumaya was just painful. I was so psyched to see him coming into the game. It's a shame, but I guess after all that time off he just didn't have any control tonight. I think that Bonderman will pitch great, but who knows if they'll even put up any runs for him. Granderson is striking out again. Pudge has been terrible. Even normally reliable Placido Palanco is putting up 0-fers. Pitching's been alright for the most part, but all their errors and their way of hacking away at the plate are catching up to them.
  10. "Rosegarden Funeral of Sores" - John Cale
  11. Are you sure that they're the same tracks as on the DVD? That email that foolnrian posted earlier didn't say that explicitly--just that it would be mp3s recorded during filming.
  12. Joy Division. Most of their songs will do, but I think "Atrocity Exhibition" is tops for Halloween.
  13. Are you suggesting Unabomber tactics or something? Jeez. Seriously though, this guy is a prick and I hope he does get some comeuppance.
  14. They're being discussed already in the NBA thread.
  15. You probably don't want to advertise that. There are ladies here.
  16. I'm a little disappointed that he didn't respond to "Black Eye sucks!" by playing "Black Eye". Why not, ya know?
  17. I'm having no trouble at all. Crystal clear picture and sound. Beautiful. Now watching: "Radio King"
  18. That story also reiterates my theory that LaRussa didn't press the issue because he's got guys doing the same thing. Why did the bullpen coach that was interviewed sell out David Wells like that? Anyway, the guy who wrote that article loses a bit of credibility at the end when he asks why Carlos Guillen isn't playing shortstop. Anyone following the Tigers playoff run knows the answer to that.
  19. I agree with cryptique. This is gonna pass pretty quickly, especially since Major League Baseball has no interest in investigating it further whatsoever.
  20. Yeah, you should jump ship and become a Lions fan. That will be much more satisfying.
  21. I sort of like how, when asked for some thoughts about this incident, Todd Jones immediately started talking about how he used pine tar in every single one of his appearances during the two years that he played in Colorado. That guy is such a goober.
  22. How hard would it be for them to just put your webpage's URL underneath the picture?
  23. I highly, highly doubt that that was why LaRussa didn't protest more. He wants to win the World Series regardless of how close he is with the opposing manager. That being said, I'm not certain of exactly why he didn't make a bigger stink about it. Although one anonymous Cardinals player was quoted in an article I read this morning saying that every pitcher does it...so perhaps LaRussa didn't want to get everyone talking about this to keep the heat off his own guys? Not extremely likely either, but I think it would make more sense than not wanting to offend Jim Leyland.
