  1. Don't need a fucking $600 phone...even though they look cool. I only have 3 people that ever call me.
  2. Doubt it... In the political climate that exists today? Doubt it very seriously.
  3. Not really...and I'm not sure that it really bothers me. Libby was hung out to dry by Cheney and was the 'fall guy'. He was not pardoned...the conviction will stand as will the fine will still have to be paid. His life is basically over. When history is written of this period 50 years from now, Cheney will be recoginzed as an unparallelled figure in American history. Secretive, vindictive, unafraid to exercise arbitrary power, unflinching and a figure totally without any endearing facets to his political character. He's the one who scares me...Bush has proven to be a cipher.
  4. I was bannerated from an online music board for two weeks for voicing a similar opinion. SRV

It takes a red-headed woman to get a dirty job done. Well, listen up, stud, Your life's been wasted 'til you've got' down on your knees and tasted A red-headed woman, a red-headed woman. 7. Actually, Bruce canned Vinnie, who was replaced by Ernest "Boom" Carter. Carter and Sancious left the band voluntarily. Other than that...right on about Mick Taylor

  9. Kim is 'female bass player in a avant garde guitar noise band' hot.
  10. See my post from Monday re: slavery in the third world. I wish we could have enough moral indignation to allow us to actually do something about this relic of a barbaric time. Actually, I'm not bitter about anything. I just take a bit of exception with the paternalistic tone that gets filtered through this type discussion. There's a southern accent where I come from, and in certain parts of this fair country, I am viewed as an 'ignorant redneck' If some of my online friends don't understand a Southerner's attitude toward the Civil War, then it is understandable. The South was defeated, dev
  11. Except to the south...which, of course, was OK.
  12. We said we'd walk together baby come what may That come the twilight should we lose our way If as we're walkin a hand should slip free I'll wait for youAnd should I fall behind Wait for me We swore we'd travel darlin' side by side We'd help each other stay in stride But each lover's steps fall so differently But I'll wait for you And if I should fall behind Wait for me Now everyone dreams of a love lasting and true But you and I know what this world can do So let's make our steps clear that the other may see And I'll wait for you If I should fall behind Wait for me Now there's a beautifu
  13. BREAKING THE MOLD POP MUSIC: 'Fragile Army' finds Polyphonic Spree rocking and more than a little peeved 12:00 AM CDT on Saturday, June 23, 2007 By THOR CHRISTENSEN / The Dallas Morning News tchristensen@dallasnews.com Thor Christensen When most bands make an album, the title is the last piece of the puzzle. But for the Polyphonic Spree, the title got the whole album rolling. "When I heard it, it hit me like a ton of bricks," Spree frontman Tim DeLaughter says by phone of The Fragile Army, the title of the band's third disc, which came out Tuesday. "I thought: 'Wow! What a broad
  14. Having grown up in a radio family, I must say that the Fairness Doctrine is an anathema. Censorship in sheeps clothing.
  15. Gynecologically intense is a good description...
  16. An enlightened statement. Maybe you need to be the new envoy to Iraq.
  17. And while you're at it, ask your Irish friends how they feel about Oliver Cromwell.
  18. Slavery STILL exists in the world. It's a dirty little secret of the third world.
  19. I actually find the video funny...song is great. Yeah, show us the shots of the girls in the front row. Thirty years later no one will want to see Allen Collins tearing up the solo...yeah...that's the ticket. And to think that Tweedy deep sixed the Kicking Television DVD because there weren't enough shots of the crowd. Meh...
