What a birthday. Finds out he is probably gonna be popped on a RICO charge, gets a hummer, gets a sweet set of golf clubs, gets reminded that his sainted dad was a nut too, gets a video casset of pleasant childhood memories, AND gets his ass kicked by his brother-in-law he is trying to learn to respect. He probably could have done with more humming and less ass kicking.

Jason Isbell - Sirens of the Ditch

yeah...that sounds REAL acrimonious. Listen...I am a really rotten bastard. I KNOW acrimony and hard feelings. However, sometimes you just say "fuck it" and call it quits without punching anybody out. Now if Jeff and Jay had whacked each other around when UT broke up, it might have been better. -
Jason Isbell - Sirens of the Ditch

How do you figure that? Saturday, April 07, 2007 Regarding DBT Current mood: Hopeful Thanks to everyone for your kind words in the last day or so. I'm doing fine, and I'm excited about the new opportunities I've been given. I think 'Sirens' is a great record, and I have to say it'll be nice to be the boss for a while. We made it to Iowa city after driving all night, so forgive me if it takes a while for me to get back to you guys. I've been bombarded with positive emails and phone calls and it has done me a lot of good. I ask that you continue to support the Truckers (they are st -
Let's see...Killed two castaways in cold blood...freed the leader of the others...lured four comrades into captivity... But he loves his son (who he hasn't had anything to do with for 12 years)...real standup guy

Thereby proving the truth of my statement. The greatest of all time...most definitely. Overrated...most certainly (You know my name..., Self Portait)

I'll do you one better... Bob Dylan is the greatest songwriter of the modern era and is easily the most overrated. The Beatles are the most influential band in the history of music and are easily the most overrated. True. Word.

Must have gotten cut...they did look a lot cleaner at the end. They aren't moving to the Barracks because they aren't sure the 'Others" won't be back. I've got an idea that they (the others) didn't just WALK out. Why gas Jack, Sayid and Juliette? They were leaving by means they didn't want to be seen by 'outsiders'. I know Locke is a true believer in the island...I wonder what his committment and relationship to the others is now. And what is the Others purpose?

LOL Hey...we haven't seen a lot of pitching gems outside of Kenny Rogers' tenure here, so I gotta give props to Robby.

Did I read correctly that you were once mistaken for an usher at the Grammys by P. Diddy? You did read that correctly, yeah. The first time Wilco was nominated for a Grammy it was for Best Contemporary Folk Album for the Mermaid Avenue album [Wilco's 1998 collaboration with Billy Bragg]. So I was standing outside the bathrooms waiting for my wife and some other guys in the band. And as they went into the bathroom everybody kind of unburdened themselves of their programs and their coats and jackets and stuff, so I'm standing there holding a big stack of programs. And Puffy and his entourag

Now that we have seen THREE female cast members from Deadwood (Kim Dickens, Paula Malcomson, Robin Weigert), I wonder if we will see anymore. Kinda like Law and Order and Oz.

Locke is gone with 'the others'; Juliet has either voluntarily or involuntarily become attached to the Losties. There is more afoot here, but I will give her the benefit of the doubt for the time being. Sawyer is going to be redeemed whether he wants to not. Hurley is becoming a LOT more than comic relief. And being redeemed isn't necessarily a good thing. Coming to grips with one's demons isn't the key to long life on the island. And I'm not quite buying the negative reaction shown by Sawyer toward Juliet. Doesn't he remember she killed Pickett and saved himself and Kate? I don't expect

Hell...they even had Carly Simon partially topless in her honeymoon pics with James Taylor on the cover

So, as I see it, basically it comes down to this: Jay got his panties in a wad (i.e., got upset) because he is being portrayed as a prima dona who couldn't share the spotlight. So, he lashed out with the worst thing he could remember: a drunk Jeff hitting on his girl friend. Of course after this episode, he recorded an album with Jeff; made a trip to Europe and toured with Jeff; lost two drummers, gained one in the band with Jeff; gained a bass player in the band with Jeff; gained a multi instrumentalist in the band with Jeff; signed a major Record label deal with Jeff; went to Austin with -
But possibly true. In the original script for the pilot, Jack died at the end. ABC demanded that the character be kept. Additionally, Michael Keaton was the originally conceived Jack (if I remember correctly).

Tell you why I call bullshit on this version. Mike Heidorn was still in UT in this version of the story Mike quit in 92. Jay was SO pissed off he did a tour, went to EUROPE, signed a major label contract, went to Austin and recorded...and THEN decided to quit. Bullshit. -
