Diamond Dave's fronting Van Halen again!
Sweet Papa Crimbo replied to Dude's topic in Someone Else's Song
Harsh dude, harsh. As someone who has been called a cross between Nathan Lane, Anson Williams and Jonathan Frakes, I can sympathize with the Wolfman. As if he didn't have enough to live up to having a guitar god as a dad, he is a pudgy kid with long hair. -

I agree with this sentiment. -

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band

I must say this 'rich man in a poor man's shirt' stuff is getting kind of trite. -
You'd think Stu Cooke and Cosmo Clifford would finally realize after all these years that they owe everything they have to the genius of John Fogerty.

I was wondering how long it would take the contrarian to hit the link. Just kidding bra. However, I think that the financial realities of running a 'record label' will force the band to make decisions along these lines. There are a lot of people depending of dBpm for their nut now. I just rolled out two obvious possibilities...(and who knows...maybe these will come to fruition).

The problem is accountability for schools and an accurate and reasonable standard by which to measure results. The vast majority of parents have absolutely no option beyond public schools (monetarily and opportunity). Every other industry has a series of criteria by which they are judged to be successful or unsuccessful, and there are few industries that are as essential to our society as the public education system.

Well, they do have an extended 'semi-residency' in The City of the Angels coming up...could be a chance for some pro-shooting of some shows.

I know we are still in the WHOLE LOVE tour cycle and promotion (and what a wonderful record and tour!); however, always one to look forward to the nerxt thing, I was wondering if there was any word on the next thing. As I see it, there are two possible interesting possibilities: YHF 10th anniversary box set (YHF with remastering, Demos, outtakes, live show). Jeff has said this was an interesting possibility. I don't know how much prep time this would take and if it would need Jim's active input, but this seems like a real possibility, if not this year. Jefferest in such a project in a Bil

Not a thing wrong with that... -
And Congratulations to Barry Larkin.

Things could get interesting with Zambrano and Hanley in the clubhouse.

First World Problems...

You are a real buzz kill. -
One of the real hallmarks of AGiB is the heavy presence of Jim O'Rourke. It's Jeff through a Jim fliter rather that Jeff through a Jay filter, so to speak.

Then 52 would be the new 43? And 62 would be the new 53? Looks like we still have a chance Louie

You would think I would be a nostalgist (is that a word), but I much rather look at the road ahead. Looking backward is cool as long as you are moving forward. I don't think Wilco would be a working entity today if Jeff hadn't severed ties with Jay. It was never and could never be Wilco featuring Jay Bennett. It has always been Jeff's vision. Jay was certainly involved with the creation of some unforgettable musical moments and I don't think anybody would disagree with that.

I love those WWI era Jiu Jitsu training plates.
