  1. This is now up on Amazon.ca for $15.53..... Canadian
  2. The story goes that on occasion, when Bonahm would launch into his drum solo, other members of Zeppelin actually left the building (back to the hotel, across the street for a drink). Even if it's not true, it's a good story.
  3. The last time I saw U2, Bono said something to the effect of "this is the end of our set and we are supposed to walk off now and come back for an encore but we'll just play some more" and they didn't leave the stage. Still not exactly what earlier posts asked for but a little more honest anyway.
  4. I keep a "wish list" on Amazon for the express purpose of checking used prices on discs from time to time. I just got the following 4 for 99 cents each: KICKING TELEVISION Buffalo Tom
  5. parm and malfunktron should have invites now
  6. Springsteen solo - July 31, 2005 in Columbus Ohio
  7. Spoiler alert: There is a Hank Williams album and a copy of "Bound for Glory"
  8. Looks like Canadian prices for Bob top out at $85. Way more than the $8.80 I paid to see him the first time but certainly reasonable compared to The Who. Over $200 in Ottawa (Kanata actually). The good news is that sales are slow and I think it will be easy to pick up greatly reduced seats the night of the show.
  9. and when did Hanson get all grown up?
  10. Very nice! It's a Yamaha F335. This should generate some serious bids.
  11. That's a tragedy but it does beg the "why would you take anyone, let alone a pregnant woman and a mentally challenged child, to a Korn concert" question
  12. - Finally starting the foundation for the deck I was going to build in May (and in June). - Spending time in arenas, watching my son play lacrosse - Listening to some "new" CDs (Something Anything, The Name of This Band Is...., The Look of Love -- the Burt Bacharach Collection, Life's a Riot with Spy vs Spy) - Vodka/tonic
  13. Bad news: Hello Rick, I hope our presence at the fest was a positive one. I sure had fun. Although Wilco was my personal highlight, we were not allowed to record them. They like total creative control. Check out Michael Franti that we did. It'll air this fall. Alain Ouellette Mobile Producer Rogers Television Ottawa
  14. Oh, it's a contest. Restless - 2 Kitty's Back - 1 Others?
  15. Lynn Saxberg writes on music for the Ottawa Citizen. Today she did a wrap-up story on Bluesfest and her lead in was: "Right after Wilco's epic performance on the mainstage Saturday, people like radio personality Sandy Sharkey and Bush Pilots' Rob Bennett were declaring it the best Bluesfest ever...." http://www.canada.com/ottawacitizen/news/a...20-6e52a71bda42
  16. It was more the principle than the money; I already had paid for a festival pass and another $55 seemed a bit much. But mostly, it's just the idea of it. This thing has really become too corporate and I can't think of many acts that will get me back to that main stage. (3 off the top of my head). Can't blame you though - I certainly considered it. Although I did have to sweat it out, and doubt that I'm any younger than you, I did end up with a prime spot with a festival wrist band only. Yeah and they were great. Really good lineup this year.
  17. Channel 22 in Ottawa; the Rogers community programming station. The show is called "Front Row Centre". It seems to be on at 9 pm some nights.
  18. Airline to Heaven Handshake Drugs There
