  1. If I do have them, I would be happy to burn a copy and mail it to Zach (Zach, you did buy the record didn't you?) or anybody else who needs a copy.
  2. What were the bonus tracks? I can't remember if I ever downloaded them myself.... I must have thought they would always be there.
  3. Kenny G is No. 1 on Golf Digest's ranking of the 'Top 100 in Music' LOS ANGELES (AP) - Saxophonist Kenny G has more to brag about than his world-class horn-playing. He's now the best golfer among music-makers, according to Golf Digest's ranking of the "Top 100 in Music." The Grammy winner beats out country stars Vince Gill, Marty Roe and Steve Azar, and No Doubt drummer Adrian Young, who round out the top 5. The list also includes Bob Dylan (No. 63), Snoop Dogg (No. 44) and fellow sax player Branford Marsalis (No. 29). The list will be published Tuesday on the magazine's website, as well
  4. Got front row for Ottawa Next Sunday night, which I realize as I type it will be exactly one week after the Hold Steady show.
  5. Funny how hit and miss Amazon appears to be. I ordered from Amazon in Canada and mine arrived yesterday..... Don't think I'll get to watch it until the weekend (unless I get too sick to work tomorrow )
  6. I've had enough of "We Are the Champions".... give it up guys
  7. Pickle juice (It's not really juice made from pickles but rather the liquid in the jar with the pickles) is good for stomach aches and is similar in content to gripe water.
  8. Dear Tweedys: I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I know words on a chat board can never begin to properly express what you are going through but just know that my thoughts are with you. Look after each other.
  9. My favorite was from a Fillmore show; I'm paraphrasing but "Some of our favorite shows have been here....... Electric Flag, Country Joe and the Fish, Grateful Dead" [probably not the right bands but you get the idea] "Don't go away; the Rolling Stones are up next" And if this is banter and not strictly comedy, calling Toronto fans motherf**kers should make the cut

  13. Yeah, I knew she was married to him. I'm married too but I still love her now. It was just kind of odd that he showed up, did background vocals on one song and was not acknowledged at all. The Hillside show included the "artist animated slide show" or whatever you would call that in the Migrations video. For every song. It was just a super way to end that festival.
  14. I sadly knew nothing of Christine Fellows 'till I saw her this past summer at Hillside. It was the last show of the night on one of the smaller stages and I swore I saw Sampson there.... Anyway, she was super and now I love her.
  15. Quadrophenia is genius. That simple. I would say Quadrophenia is more of a "theme album" than a rock opera. So although they are all linked around the story of Jimmy, the songs are strong and can stand on their own. One of my favorite records of all time. Tommy is more of a true "rock opera", what ever that means. So there are songs on there that to my mind are only there to move the story along and are pretty weak on their own - in fact, I would say some of them are weak even in the context of the album.
  16. from a trusted blog -- http://www.adamradwanski.com/blog.html Sunday September 17, 2006 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Three cheers for unpredictability A couple of weeks ago, singing the praises of Who Taught You to Live Like That in the Post, I wrote that recent history suggested Sloan's new single would be surrounded by a lot of filler on their new album. After all, that had been the pattern with pretty much everything they'd released since Navy Blues. Happily, it seems I grossly underestimated them. Never Hear the End of It - wi
  17. Can't argue with any of the advice... I would "work up" too. Welcome to a fellow Bruce fan (there are a number of us here)
  18. The lack of any dates north of the 49th parallel must mean a Canadian tour is in the works
  19. Well then what are you waiting for?!? They're playing Ottawa in a 200 seat club! Sweet.
