  1. Utterly fantastic. You should go to Wilco shows (or any other shows for that matter) more often.
  2. Compare that with Friday's set from Milwaukee: Start a War Mistaken for Strangers Secret Meeting Brainy Baby, We'll be Fine Slow Show Squalor Victoria Abel All the Wine Racing like a Pro Ada City Middle Apartment Story Daughters of the Soho Riots Fake Empire About Today _________________ Green Gloves Mr. November And, in case you didn't know, Anne Clark (St. Vincent) is insanely talented and HOT.
  3. Been working there for 2 years. I must say, one of the best places to eat in Madison, without a question. As for my thoughts on the city, I was very bored here this summer; granted 99% of my friends had moved back home and I'm still relatively new to the city. But the lakes and the parks are some of the best I've ever seen. And there's ALWAYS something going on in the city, be it music, festivals, sporting events, what have you. I don't mind that I will be living here for the next couple of years, but I think I'll be glad once I've moved on to a bigger city. I was born and raised in Milwauke
  4. Oh no! The Too Far Apart clip ends right before the "NAILED IT!"
  5. Oh no no, I typed that right.
  6. Three words for everyone in Madison: Barrymore. Thanksgiving. 2007.
  7. Well, I'm already seeing Arcade Fire/LCD the night before, so I thought I'd sleep in Red Rocks and stay there for Muse on Tuesday. Three of my favorite bands in back to back nights in arguably the greatest venue in the US.
  8. It's killing me that I'm in Denver the same night as the National (and don't forget about St. Vincent opening up, she's quite good). It's too bad I'm going to have to wait until next Friday to see them in Milwaukee.
  9. The neighborhood around The Rave just looks rough, but it's relatively safe. And there is TONS of parking around the place. Just to be safe, I wouldn't leave your iPhone on the front seat with the windows down.
  10. Oh man, I forgot about the NAILED IT's. All I could see in my head was Jack Black. Some intonation and everything. And is there a recording where everyone actually claps RIGHT during Spiders? It doesn't seem that hard, but I guess the American culture is just obsessed with the slow clap.
  11. Amazing, amazing night. Probably the best concert I've been to (I gotta take some time to think about that). I want to know when the last time Wilco played 3 songs off of AM in the same show. And I got to sit next to this awesome lady and we talked about music and Chicago and how she lives within "crawling distance" of the Empty Bottle; not during the music, mind you. As always, it was a pleasure seeing you Bri (lookin good btw ). More on this incredible night tomorrow.
  12. Did you see me over on the right dancing and jumping and, yes, flailing my arms during the appropriate songs?
  13. Sorry to beat Paul to it.... 14. Oh, heaven forbid someone goes to a concert and doesn't get piss drunk.....
  15. Yes, a stuffed burger. Might I recommend the bacon and cheddar.
  16. It's up on Dime. I would find you a link, but I have to go to work.
  17. I think I will be celebrating my 21st birthday in Chicago with him.
  18. First, that shirt looks like it's awesome. Second, if Low would have played Canada, they would have played all my favorite songs of theirs. Finally, I've been to 5 Wilco shows and have NEVER heard any of the songs they played in the first encore. And my two classes yesterday were utter BS, so I could have at least skipped those (today's classes, not so sure, but w/e) and seen this sweet, sweet show.
  19. Just thought I'd resurrect this thread. I wish wilcoworld would do a webcast tonight; a lot of people, myself included, were going to go in August but cannot make it tonight. And, knowing the band cares for its fans, they're going to bust out a great set. Would this be the last night of the leg of the tour, thus making it a crew-picked setlist? Ah, so many thoughts on how this show will rock and I have to wait a week to see them in Madison.
  20. I'll be in the first row of the first balcony. This is probably going to be the most beautiful place I'll (or anyone else for that matter) see Wilco. I'm really excited about walking in there for the first time.
  21. After the speed and poppiness of Twin Cinema, it's nice to have a slowed down, seemingly retrospective album. Combining these songs with their previous catalogue is going to make a great set for the upcoming shows.
  22. ^^ Hyper-fast picking. I'll find a video link for you in a sec.
  23. Incredibly jealous of my friends in DC. But the Milwaukee shows will be sweet.
  24. "Five Venues under one roof. Eagles Ballroom has a capacity of around 4000, the Rave can hold 1500, The underground holds 500, and the Vibe and bar hold 400 each." So, "The Rave" holds 1500, and "The Eagles Ballroom" holds 4000. And, as an aside, I got my tickets this morning
