I am inclined to agree with this. And, as there is a dearth of political leadership, there is a dearth of media/journalistic leadership as well. We don't have a Cronkite anymore, a widely trusted journalist or institution with the moral authority to get people to change their minds about something. The mediaverse has become so fragmented that no matter what your preconceptions, there is a source to cater to your skew.
