  1. You can be my bitch for two pence a week. Network!
  2. I have a real love hate relationship with him. Short stories, Rabbit books, some of his criticism and essays are all gold. Books like Terrorist? Less so. Still, as 3 dollars said, an undeniable force. It always sucks to lose someone of his stature. I didn't even know he had lung cancer. I figured he was well since his stuff appears in virtually every single New Yorker.
  3. All but internet could be axed from my life.
  4. My only advice is to do the wine thing, which is probably something you already planned on doing.
  5. 15 times the size of my hometown. Yuck.
  6. I've been trying since the day it came out (or before, since I probably downloaded a leak). It's not that I don't like it. I just end up wanting to hear something else by the time it gets near the end.
  7. My Girls is the best track on there, from what I can tell. I still prefer the Water Curses EP to this record for some reason. I think Animal Collective have a tendency to overstay their welcome on full-length albums. Person Pitch was short and near perfect, same for Water Curses. I tend to tired of them by the end of this new record, and especially on their older stuff. Like Feels? I've probably never listened to that all in one sitting.
  8. I was just getting into him/them. Sucks. I want to get that book of his poetry when I get some money. Anybody know if it is good? From what I have seen, it seems a lot better than most musician's poetry.
  9. So far I've spent my Saturday morning (well, afternoon...I wake up late) remembering how good No Code is. I haven't listened in awhile. Tracks 1-9 are near perfect.
  10. Probably because they're not that good. Just a guess.
  11. Outside of a burger, fries, and a beer.
  12. I am just happy the Dark Knight didn't get anything but the Ledger nod and the technical stuff.
  13. I listen on my laptop. For real. If not that, then an ipod plugged into a stereo. I have stopped caring entirely.
  14. Oh, see, I was picturing a theater viewing because I am apparently old fashioned. And the last time I half-watched a movie at a theater, I was in 6th or 7th grade. And as for Burn After Reading...I thought it was below average. Not bad, but not great. It had some great lines, though.
  15. Are you necking during these movies or what's going on?
  16. I've been looking for a used paperback copy of Revolutionary Road for probably two years now. Interested in seeing the film, but I want to read the book first. I guess, since they probably made a "now a major motion picture" version, I should just go to Borders with 14 dollars. Or the library.
  17. Neil Young, despite being my hero, is kind of a douchebag.
  18. Whoa, you're right. I hadn't even looked outside or at a thermometer yet today because I assumed it was still a nightmare out there. I'm going swimming.
  19. The Seminary Coop is the best bookstore I have ever been to. It also forces you to go all the way down to Hyde Park, which is a nice place to be every once in awhile.
  20. I would kill to get back to Spain. Especially right now, as I freeze to death.
