He asked how the bank execs got there, not the auto execs.

I have to take Alabama. Close and relatively low scoring (high twenties, low thirties).

Playa Hatin - Jenny Lewis's boyfriend edition

This thread should have been made years ago. She's been with that (apparently fat) guy for years. I'd rather she was dating Bill Murray, but whatever. Just leaves more Bill Murray for me. -
No kidding. Ultimately, we are reaping what we have sown. Torture is just another notch in the belt of incredible atrocities we have committed over the years.

So they're at it again. I make threats like this often, and this one if just as empty, but if even a single American falls for the showing up in a regular car stunt, I will lose faith in mankind. And the longer this whole thing drags on, the more I say we shouldn't even be considering this. Let the oil companies bail them out.

ESPN claims that Petrino has it in his contract that he can't leave for an SEC West team.

I think it would be an interesting game. I mean, why should we assume USC is so great (even though I do)? The Pac10 is rotten.

Low is good, but not the right opener for Wilco.

1. Florida 2. Alabama 3. Texas 4. USC 5. Oklahoma I think it is close between Texas and Alabama. But defense wins. Which explains why Oklahoma is way down toward the bottom of my rankings. And of course I could be eating those words as soon as this weekend if Florida puts up their usual 45.

Yeah, just listened to Carrion Suite. Awesome. Now to find some money.

He seemed like a phony, which I suppose he is.

Drew Rosenhaus is a piece of shit. Anybody seeing this interview?
-
He's just making music (in my opinion, great music) and having fun. I don't think it needs to be that serious.

Wal-Mart worker dies after shoppers knock him down

I got trampled by teens at a Ben Folds concert a few years ago. No serious injuries, but I won't soon forget it. -
The new Julian Koster cd is pretty interesting. Not awesome or anything, but interesting. Singing Saw at Christmastime. And it is what the title says it is: a bunch of holiday favorites done on a singing saw.

I lose respect for people who are unable to take postings on a message board with a grain of salt. I simply expressed dismay that Nick Cave wasn't appearing on more lists. I never took issue with the content of other lists. I don't see how that is a problem.

I am pretty sure this happens every year. You are what you eat. -
9/11 was/is terrifying, but a handful of dudes running around with automatic weapons and grenades in a major metropolitan area lacks so much complexity that all you can react with is fear. Despite the smaller scale, this blows my mind in a number of ways. Think about how easy it would be to pull off anywhere.

For every page that Nick Cave isn't mentioned, I lose a bit of respect for this thread.

My favorite of his. Very nearly my favorite record of the year.

I applied for a job in the third Clinton Amdminastartion. Wish me luck.

The Packers sure look bad in this second half tonight. Defense has looked bad all game.

And I said, no, I don't support a new investigation. I answered the question the same way Howard Zinn seems to have recently, saying no. Because we have other shit to deal with, like stopping terrorist attacks or (sadly) fighting two wars or saving an economy.

If any of the conspiracy stuff is real, an "official" investigation isn't going to shed new light. The government won't change their tune. They have nothing to gain by doing so and quite a bit to lose.

I agree. Looked pretty good today, though I think Arizona might have an artificially inflated record. The Jets looked good, too. Good year for New Yorkers.
