Yeah I hear ya. First time I saw Tom was in 2003 so I can see how it would get tiring...I was bored of American Girl which I have seen at every show.

I have seen Petty about 5 or 6 times..I heard about 14 new songs for me live at the Beacon show and I was happy..But I hear ya I wish he would do deeper earlier album cuts. I too was hoping for Nightwatchman!

I'll be 19 miles away at Jiminey Peak pretty reasonable as an alternative but it would only save you a few miles and minutes

"high"ly agree with MBV and Sigur Ros.. Kidding I don't smoke but those albums put me in another frame of mind! Also, either Tame Impala album should be on the list too!

I had tickets for Son Volt in Brooklyn but now I can make it going to see them in South Orange instead...Also is a free Walkmen show in Brooklyn (Ticket event though) if you haven't seen them you must!

That and a change of Hoboken in general..both which are BS reasons in my mind...Hoboken changes every few years and the shows still sell out not sure what the issue is!? I think maybe cheaper rent in Jersey City etc but who really knows!

Gary held a living room show of sorts at a venue called concerts in the Studio in Freehold. The photo studio holds 50 and afterwords there is a potluck dinner. My all time favorite venue Maxwells in Hoboken NJ is closing I have seen about 50 shows here and there is no venue like this anywhere! Beyond sad

Yup! Last night of the beacon run. Most interesting setlist I have seen from petty in ages at the earlier beacon shows! Can't wait!

I got a ticket that seems to be GA but says reserved seating rows 1-47 so I am not sure where I'll be..I am going more for the expierence I guess then the sound for this time so I don't care where I sit or stand. Thanks everyone for the pointers. It def sounds like a great place to expierence nature and see a show. I am very excited!
