  1. "One of the defendants, Curt Schlesinger, purchased four Wilco tickets from Ticketmaster in 2003 and paid an additional $19.50 for UPS delivery, which he assumed represented the actual delivery cost. However, the suit charges, the actual UPS rate to his home was only $16.35, and thanks to its discounted rates, Ticketmaster paid "substantially less" than $16.35. "As such, a portion of the $19.50 UPS delivery charge Schlesinger paid for delivery was secretly pocketed by Ticketmaster," the complaint alleges. 3. My top 3 favorite bands in this order! 1. REM 2. REM 3. I loved Accelerate! I am sure it will be fine That being mentioned I am still really looking forward too all 3 and the tours that hopefully will follow!
  4. I was at the show on Saturday and it was great. Also Jim Carey was on the second balcony rocking out to the concert!
  5. Yeah a heard about it. I wish him well. It boggles my mind I see him perform 1 day before the incident and he looked to be in great spirirts. I got to talk to him after the show and he was a cool guy. I wish him the best and am still quite shocked! He was lucky there was a doctor in the crowd when the incident happened.
  6. Thanks for the link... I am seeing them on Oct 4th in NYC...yippie!
  7. I hear what you are saying...If I know a band doesn't switch it up I will only see them once a tour. With the Charlatans I didn't have much to go on because there tour only started 3 days prior....
  8. Ha yeah.. I saw Bruce probably 4 times since the last album came out and only heard Working on a Dream, The Wrestler and Outlaw Pete! In terms of setlist I love to see Phish and The Cure because they really mix up the sets with old and new and never play the same show twice. The Cure plays about 40 songs on a good night and Phish play up to 200 different songs per tour!
  9. Maybe I am too hard to please but what gives me satisfaction at a concert is hearing new songs live. Getting that chance to even hear one or two songs I haven't heard live before makes a show worth it to me. I may be in the minority here but for me if I saw a band and Wilco is a good example I would find diminshed worth in the show if I heard the same songs again and again. What started my post on this topic is one of my favorite bands is the Charlatans UK. They rarley tour stateside. I think they have been to NYC 3 times between 2000-2010. That being said along with their catelog of 11 albums
  10. This album works great for me Beck-Mutations Sigur Ros- Ageatis
  11. Fair enough...hope you enjoy it! I still give it a spin every so oftent 17 years after I first bought it in the long box cd cases!

  13. Son's of Soul is one of my favorite albums from back in the day. A great R & B record! I see I wrote something similar in 2008..ha at least I am consistant!
  14. Really digging the new Foals album. Seeing them in October in Brooklyn...Anyone else pick it up?
  15. I rather sit through 17 Blues Traveler concerts than have to see Beiber... $15k vs 250K wowie! Also can't figure out how Lady Antbellum is $75k and Rhianna is over $400k? I don't like either but isn't the Lady Antebellum album one of the best selling of 2010!?
  16. Looks sweet! Wonder what the price tag for the 3cd/dvd set will be?
  17. Great show! Really had a good time at the show but getting there was half the battle. The address I had for the festival left me on a closed rd where there where no signs on how to get to the festival. Once I found a sign which was few and far between I was sort of on my way. The festival I thought was too chaotic betwen taking school busses and the 10 different passes they were selling and different coded wrist bands! The crowd was about 90% hippies and a smatering of Wilco fans... Here is what I remember Jeff played and it is not in order Sunken Tresure Remember the Mountain Bed Someday,
  18. I heard about this yesterday and it is sad on many levels. I can't imagine going out to a night of entertainment and witnessing what happened. It would be a memory that would be hard to forget. From what I heard the band, venue and audience handled it as best as they could.
  19. Harry Connick Jr...It Had to Be You...danceable, not too creepy....tounge in cheek maybe?
  20. Sheesh the festival raised ticket prices without warning so now the Afternoon Sat Ga is $50!!
  21. I'm not surprised...it seems every artist that goes to Australia charges 2x the going rate...What is it like $80 to see Wilco in Australia?
  22. My second time seeing the Baseball Project, first time with Mike Mills. I am not much of a baseball fan so I don't get all the refrences but still had fun and it was a good laid back concert. I got a major kick in seeing Mike Mills pound away on the bass in a small club. Sadly though the venue was half filled and if you don't know Maxwells it only holds 250!! After the show I got to speak with Mike Mills Here is a mini recap of the conversation... Me: New REM album finished? MM: Yeah, all done! Me: Will Texarkana ever be played at an REM concert? MM: No chance, never!! Me: How b
