  1. If you were dancing with a girl toward Nels' side, I was to your right near the end of the show! What a great show. After having to flee from a drunken ass who was woo-ing in my ear along with the guitar solos (just about ruined Ashes for me) and playing air guitar (who does that?!) I found a great spot to enjoy it. Sorry to abandon the super-polite two young guys who also were suffering! Highlights: - Amazing version of Can't Stand It, a song I admittedly don't really give a second thought. - Nels playing guitar with a troll doll? during IATTBYR - horns! I hope the horns make a return a

    Residency shows

Well I just received some freaking fantastic news from Music Today: "According to the tracking history on www.ups.com, your tickets may be lost in transit." I stayed calm all this week as everyone else got their tickets, e-mailed them a couple of times, and now I have to wait until Monday to figure this out ... so sad. Anybody have this happened before? I'll call Monday, and there will be a five day window to figure it out, but I can't help being worried
  4. More importantly, it's Queensryche AND Don Dokken

Me neither. I guess it's good I'm not the only one?

  8. I finally figured it out. http://www.ticketweb.com/t3/event/EventLis...amp;orgId=12267 It's down at the bottom. If that doesn't work, go to Tipitina's Web site and they link from the calendar. sorry my linking skills aren't pretty.
  9. Everyone should keep trying -- I got tickets at 10:15 the other day.
  10. Just got 2 at 10:15 -- keep trying!
  11. Hmm, anyone know how much these tickets are? Can't figure it out after a quick scan. My little bro goes to Tulane, and I've been trying to convince him of Wilco's greatness. This would be a great Christmas present -- he can't ignore in-hand tickets!
  12. I'd be curious about the pack of five as well and whether the same person has to use all five. I may be able to beg my way for another day off, but you never know. My husband thinks I'm nuts, but five shows?! Dusty corners of the catalog?! C'mon! Wilco was always a side benefit of moving to Chicago, and this just proves it.
  13. Great pictures and great video. Brought me back and made me happy! Loved seeing the pavilion and the park. I've been trying to convince my non-Chicagoan friends how cool the venue was. If you have some more, I'll put in a humble request for On & On & On. Thought Jeff sounded exceptional. -- Katie
  14. Hey froggie, I'm pretty sure he sang it in the lower octave (like on the album). But I don't always trust my ear, so maybe someone else will chime in. Did anyone get any good photos? I was way too far back for my camera to handle it.
  15. Great night. Not sure about the cameras; at least one was Channel 2. Caught the feature right at the end of the 10 p.m. news. Pretty unexciting -- they showed the crowd not reacting to anything and a 3-second clip of a song. I was way in the back of the reserved seating, and it was good and bad to be back there. Bad because I find I enjoy shows much more when I'm squished in with the crowd up front, but good because I could watch all six band members at once. I never realized how rarely I watch Pat or John, and it was fun to watch the band as a whole instead of one or two at at time. Plus
  16. Holy crap, that worked! I've been trying Ticketmaster randomly the past few weeks -- thanks for the heads up today! Katie
  17. After getting shut out of the presales, I realized with horror that the main sale was July 28, the day I was getting married. And although my now-husband is as big a fan of Wilco as I am, I don't think he would have been pleased if I was searching for a wireless connection instead of walking down the aisle that morning. So ... if anyone has two tickets to spare for the newlyweds who moved to Chicago two weeks ago , I'd be eternally grateful -- lawn or reserved are OK by me. If not, I'll be strolling by the park trying to catch an earful! Thanks, Katie kbartholomew@gmail.com or send
  18. I greatly enjoyed this show -- a little closer than last year, and much cooler! Lou, I think I was right behind you throughout the show -- a little too shy to introduce myself. We saw Pat in the park before the show, and my fiance had to drag me over cause I was too scared (Pat was very nice and polite, by the way). Wilco sounded great, I feel like every time I see them they look happier. I could watch Glen on drums all day. They all sounded great, and Jeff looked younger somehow than the last time I saw them perform. Highlights were Kamera (I really wanted to hear this live), Poor Place
  19. Well you'll be disappointed to hear MTV was filming the Pines show last night.
  20. www.brooklynvegan.com is hinting at a Brooklyn show the following night. No mention of where the rumor originated, though.
  21. Saw Wilco at the Pines last summer -- loved it. Decided to go to the Pines again this summer instead of NYC/NJ. We just booked a room at Hotel Northampton (a little expensive, but a beautiful, old hotel) so there seem to still be rooms available. Just wanted to throw that out there if anyone's still looking for a place to stay. I'd definitely recommend the brewery as well -- a little hard to find, but great beer, nice people. Thanks for the sushi recommendation (yummm)
  22. I don't know anything about the venue, but it's supposedly going to be freakishly hot (at least for me) -- in the mid-90s. Blech. By the way, does anyone know where the will-call is at this venue? Thanks.
