Ox - Burnout It seems to come with some MOV files which look pretty neat. Learning that these were all shot in The Donovan area of Sudbury. There is the industrial area of Sudbury, the downtown area of Sudbury and then the ultra rubby section - the Donovan. This is where Mark Browning has a guitar and vinyl only record store called 'Cosmic Dave's'. I'll have to visit on the next kayak trip up north.

Coolest thing: http://everythingispop.blogspot.com/2009/11/yes-virginia-there-is-santa-claus.html Yes Virginia, There Is a Santa ClausHe Just Likes to Sing in His underwear All things considered, the $20000 prize money that comes with the Polaris Prize might be considered apaltry sum. But can it make a difference? If you’re Patrick Watson you pay for that tour van you demolished on that winter trek through the American Midwest... If you’re Damian Abraham from 2009 Polaris Prize winners Fucked Up you produce a charity cover of ”Do They Know It’s Christmas?” with some of your favourite pe

Hope you end up liking at least some of it. My musical taste is pretty narrow, and I've grown to admit and accept this, like any other addiction. You need some samples, just ask.

Final, final list, until I forget something more: My rationale was to go for albums that have fixated me. The ones I ended up destroying the CD cases of and scratching to all hell at home and in the car. Later, I did the modern equivalent and never deleted these from the Nano 1) Wrens – Meadowlands For two years I played this everyday. It was like a load stone on how to turn 40 and navigate age, friendships and family, 'cept I had to translate it all from the male point of view. Still can't follow the lyrics. 2) Deadly Snakes – I’m Not Your Soldier Anymore I had the old 'well they

Keep forgetting about him. Props. -
yeah - didn't she speak of a knowledge of UT at the time of MA I. If may have just been wilco, but I would find it hard to believe that she wouldn't. Regardless, the Kerouac thing is making me want this even more. Never thought I'd again see the day when I enjoyed Son Volt/Farrar stuff more than Wilco.

If you like the DDW, you NEED to check out the Doug Paisley. He's one half of 'Darkhand and Lamplight' that opened up for Bonnie Prince Billy in 2006. Incredibly detailed country/folk songs. -

I do too, but there is a crowd of writers, researchers and producers that make Gee-Anne much better than he would be otherwise. Do I have to bring up Moxy Fruvous? I will y'know...

yes, this is nice nice, very nice.

Visqueen - Message to Garcia High hopes for the above. Read the story of Rachel Flotard quitting music for a number of years to take care of her father. http://www.thestranger.com/seattle/steamfitters-daughter/Content?oid=2356190

Excellent, got the whole ep/lp - 7 songs that are amazing: Seem to be about cars, Sudbury and not making a splash in the music industry. The vid for Unknown Legend was also a Sudbury product:

Didn't think too much of this one first hearing. Wrong. It is as good as her first solo record.

This just keeps getting better and better.

F - you at the Milan show? I was dead centre about 20 feet back. It seemed like a really short set - maybe an hour at most.

Good call!
