'When the recording finished up, he (Rolf Klausner) excitedly played a copy of Glory Hope Mountain for his Mom, She listened in the car for about 10 seconds and then went back to talking about what was needed at the supermarket.' Too cute.

The show took place in the afternoon at the Richmond, an old beer parlour hotel with amazing acoustics. What was most fun was chatting to and dancing with some of the regulars. Luckily I'm not in the clip below, but Kay, aged 78, is, and she does a proud Jig to 'Here I go'. The band plays at the front of the

Add me to the not-getting of the not-getters for Challengers. The thing is lovely and much better than say Electric Version. 1) Broken Family Band - Hello Love 2) The Acorn - Glory Hope Mountain 3) New Pornographers - Challengers 4) Rock Plaza Central - Are We Not Horses? 5) Rizdales - Radio Country

Yeah - that is actually where I heard it first. Randy Newman also did an early SNL around the time Good Ole Boys was released. They both cemented me as a huge fan. 'Louisiana, Louisiana, They're trying to wash us away They're trying to wash us away'

Wahoo! Another live album where I can brag that 'I was there' and that high pitched scream towards the end of High Prices Going Down, well, that was me... I think... from a myspace notice: So I wonder if this will be the 'last' show from the Horseshoe, or the 'last last' show from the Silver Dollar the next night.
