Separated at birth? Dowry - The circus + the Sea

well,,,, you can certainly list them again. Acorn comes out March 4th and Bash-a is just before then.

I like Thompson when he's upbeat and happy and so this one is always my favourite: Tons of these songs have been covered by Nashville artists and seeing that tour in 1984 (?) was fantastic. Plus it contains Tear Stained Letter, which is usually played at every show. The album was the first time I started to appreciate the accordion as not an instrument of torture.

Looks like it might be eventually available, but I don't see it yet http://radio3.cbc.ca/blogs/2007/12/FUSE-is-alive-on-Radio-3 I always have problems listening to the Radio 3 podcasts - ie trying to listen to the Andre Ethier one and it will not work...

Oats - I think you'll really like it. Their Christmas show is coming up next Saturday and it is a fun time of sitting in a beer palour hotel sipping small glasses of Labatt 50. I'm playing: and I love it. The vocals remind me of Joey Burns and the simple, looping folk melodies are tremendous.

So I listened to the broadcast last night and it was even better than I remember. Trouble is, I don't think they put this stuff online and that makes me sad. It really was a joyous occasion with a Baroque opera segueing into 'We've Got a Lot To Be Glad For' Just incredible and in the words of Amanda Putz, the host, the only time that the radio show has ever got a standing ovation. http://www.cbc.ca/fuse/ Latest Show Show: FUSE Date: 2007/12/08 CONCERTO IN A MINOR FOR VIOLIN AND ORCHESTRA HOW SHALL I TO HEAVEN ASPIRE I AM AN EXCELLENT STEEL HORSE MY CHILDREN BE JOYFUL ST CECILIA'

Rich. just working on you mix and can't decide which of these songs to put on: The thing just got a blow job of a review at Exclaim.ca, and placed just out of top 5. Which will hopefully give them more fans than just me. 'I could tell you lies Or I could tell you truth' I could hold another man And never tell a soul'

Not a huge fan of either of those bands, but I have to admit Emily Haines makes excellent music videos

The dark down road of his approach in constant rain was drenched The tenant's boy said "How d'ya do" then swore in French ____________________ I want you Its the stupid details that my heart is breaking for Its the way your shoulders shake and what theyre shaking for Its knowing that he knows you now after only guessing

Romi Mayes - Sweet Something Steady Don't want no fancy diamonds Don't want your mother's pearls Don't want you to tell me I'm your only girl Just want a man Come pick me up and take me for a ride Why can't you be my sweet something steady on the side? Don't need your folks for dinner I don't need to impress Don't need to walk the aisle I don't need the fancy dress I don't need to hear you love me While you look deeply in my eyes Why can't you be my sweet something steady on the side? Please don't tell me your middle name Don't tell me where you went to school Don't come running to m

Thanks, been a small-time fan since Costello covered a song or two in the eighties. I have totally lost track, but it seems certainly worth a listen.

Clouds so swift Rain won't lift Gate won't close Railings froze Get your mind off wintertime You ain't goin' nowhere Whoo-ee! Ride me high Tomorrow's the day My bride's gonna come Oh, oh, are we gonna fly Down in the easy chair! I don't care How many letters they sent Morning came and morning went Pick up your money And pack up your tent You ain't goin' nowhere Whoo-ee! Ride me high Tomorrow's the day My bride's gonna come Oh, oh, are we gonna fly Down in the easy chair! Buy me a flute And a gun that shoots Tailgates and substitutes Strap yourself To the tree with roots You ain't goin' now

Got enthralled by the song 'I'm not there' from the movie soundtrack. Working my way back through vol1-5 will be sort of fun.

I waited up all night Just to see you come home And oh the way you treat me is just not right And any other man would just be gone But I don't require that you be true to me Just as long As you come home

Dear Lux Interior I hope you are not dead. Arthritis huh? I hear a daily aspirin helps. Well, um remember those signed copies of your LPs? Well I sold them all the second year ebay got going. Here's $5.00. I should give you more, but remember that time you wrecked my fishnets? I'm still a bit pissed off.

he's a bit after my time. I would need to write one to Rene Simard or the DeFranco Family.
