Got OR row E for Asheville. Super stoked. I think they're releasing in waves, but I jumped as soon as I got something decent. I'm almost positive its the same exact seat I had for my very 1st Wilco show
-
I only ever knew that one song that was super popular when I was in high school, but dang. survived by 6 kids. my heart hurts for his family. jeez.
-
actually I reached out on social media and they gave my info to ticketing. The ticketing lady called me a little after 11 and asked if I would like 4th row pit. I said "absolutely!"
-
I am no longer grumpy. I ended up with 3rd row for Birmingham because of crazy luck, and 4th row pit for Atlanta by magical circumstances. The staff at the Fox is super awesome. Holy cow!
-
That's the thing though. I'm not spending the money if it's not a good seat. I can't see shows like I used to anymore so it really has to be worth it.

day 2 of pulling absolutely nothing. I give up. it's not worth the hassle. I'm clocking in at work late for nothing. this is dumb
-
try one of the last 2 album names. it's different for different venues
-
I pulled 5th row for Birmingham until I looked again and realized it was for Memphis. Let them go back into the ether and now feeling even more defeated. I guess there's always hope for Friday
-
congrats man! it's the best feeling to pull awesome seats. I got pit for a couple Atlanta shows (Cobb Energy Centre and Chastain Park) years ago through regular on sales, so I know it happens, I just get my hopes up too high every single time.
-
there's pit tix on stub hub for Atlanta for $500 a piece though. absolutely ridiculous. I wish wilco would do more to prevent scalpers and bots. it's impossible these days. especially since they switched pre-sale companies. song kick is routinely awful. gripe gripe gripe.
-
congrats dude. I didn't pull a single pair. I'm so frustrated and annoyed.

$75 a piece for tickets. WTF
-
You are never obnoxious, sir. Hope we get to see you!

Very true. I think the guy shut up mostly cos my sister had a very angry look on her face too. She was pissed. And yeah, I've noticed that it's worse in ATL too than other spots for sure. I think it has a lot to do with the venue too. The shows back in 2016 at the Tabernacle were fairly well behaved where I was. Are you considering any of the other shows this tour?

This. The talkers were super discouraging last time they were at the Fox. Atlanta crowds seem to be more and more about socializing and less about experiencing the actual show. There was a doofus in front of us at Radiohead back in April that would not shut up about his condo's mortgage rate for 2 or 3 whole songs. Eventually my sister tapped him on the shoulder and asked him to STFU or take his conversation elsewhere because he was talking over the band. The rest of the show he shut up. Super dumb. I think I'm going to try for tickets for B'ham, ATL, and Asheville, but I'm only gonna pul

Part of me doesn't even wanna try for Atlanta cos the last time they played the fox it was a nightmare getting tickets. Might opt for Birmingham instead cos it's not as busy of a market for the Wilcos. I guess we'll see.

I should have clarified. When I saw them in 2012 here at a mid-sized venue, they were touring on The Terror and did a bunch of stuff from that. I went into it thinking I was gonna get a set like what I saw them do on ACL with Beck when that was on TV and I fell in love with both The Lips and Beck after that...it was a good show (even though my sister got severely dehydrated and passed out in the encore, so I had to do a kind of football charge to get out of there after security whisked her over the rail), but it wasn't exactly an uplifting show experience. I was kinda disappointed they did

Saw the flaming lips on Saturday. They closed out the local shit show of a week long festival my city puts on. It was super awesome. They did tons of old stuff, and because they were on a 40ft high barge on the river they even used biodegradable confetti. Probably Top 20 Concerts territory. The last song was "Do you realize?" and the event organizers launched the fireworks before they even finished the song. Wayne told us at the beginning of the show that the first couple fireworks contained the cremated remains of a stage hand that worked for the local union here, which made it all the more

I with thinking this very same thing. Either him, Neil Young, or Jeff Tweedy. I'm too indecisive. Nah, It's gotta be Paul McCartney. Everything I love about music sprouted from discovering him.
-
definitely hope to see you Vince! Oh damn. I'm sorry to hear that on both counts. Hope he feels better real quick.
-
He's gonna be here in May, and I am debating about going. Tickets are really expensive though... We're seeing them on Saturday!

I collect Star Wars stuff. Lots of action figures and stuff like that. I also collect nice hardbound editions of comic book runs. Mostly Marvel and Image titles, a few DC here and there. Been playing guitar since I was 11 (I have 3. A jazz master, a tweedy Martin, and an Epiphone SG)

I agree. It would be great, but I doubt it. They were just in Knoxville last week, so I bet it's 2018 before they hit Nashville or Atlanta again. I hope I'm wrong!

I wish that too. There's not a chance they'd do just 1 night at the Ryman though.
