  1. I think that’s kinda what they do, right? The mix it up a fair amount. I’m going to 3 shows this leg, and I’d honestly be fine if it were the same set night after night.
  2. I like that idea. We could call it the “highy messed up freaks!!11!” does anybody remember that?
  3. One thing I think would help the FB page is to limit the amount of shit posting that can happen. I don’t know what all control a mod has in a FB group, but I think maybe some strict policy about “dont be a dick” should definitely be enforced... Or we shut it down and start again?
  4. Hold on, they had a falling out?
  5. This 100%. I was lamenting to somebody earlier that I missed the tight knit days of VC in comparison to the huge, and sometimes kinda volatile facebook group, I really am enjoying OTJ, there’s lots of little things to pick up on, much in the same way as AGIB and YHF had tiny things that (at least for me) it took a while to hear. I’m looking forward to see where this one grows. Also excited to see how they fit in a live set. Super excited to hopefully hear “Hold Me Anyway” next weekend in Atlanta through Nashville. It’s interesting comparing it to Schmilco and Star Wars, in that I think it
  6. I bought some. When they get here I’ll let you know. Never used the brand before.
  7. For sure. It was so disappointing to read that tweet, but not at all surprising. I appreciate that Cold Roses helped get my through senior year of high school, and Easy Tiger helped soothe my first real break up, but I can’t support an abuser, so I won’t listen to him again or give him my money by going to shows.
  8. Thanks, dude! I really dig how much Jeff’s been using the c/b chord lately.
  9. They said it got delayed until this Friday via social media.
  10. I wish Jeff’s vocals were a little less reverb-y so I could make the words out better. Also wanna take a crack at figuring out the chords this week. Such a pretty song. Edit: I also got the tote bag, LP, socks, T-shirt combo, cos it’s what I’ve done for every album. The tote bag is a staple for a new Wilco record at this point. $500 for the deluxe is too much, when really the music is the most important part. And the tote bag. It’s important too.
  11. This. Go. Have a good time. Sing along with the karaoke folks. Enjoy the damn music. It’s not complicated. If you sit there grumpy it doesn’t do anything for anybody, and probably sours your mood— just enjoy it for what it is. Am I jealous as hell for those selected? Yup. Am I sad as hell I can’t be there? Yup. Do I wish folks egg on their faces? Fuck no, unless it’s breakfast. I hope everybody nails it and has a blast!
  12. I sobbed a lot watching Rocketman. My mom would have loved it. Elton was her Wilco.
  13. Fees are more expensive on the more expensive tix. Almost $30 in fees on a platinum ticket.
  14. It’s 100% Ticketmaster. There’s a disclaimer about the platinum seats that much like airline tickets prices fluctuate due to demand.
  15. 4th row in Nashville right now is $275+fees. When they went on sale Friday those seats shot up to over $500. They price the platinum seats according to demand.
  16. There’s platinum tix at almost every other venue on the tour though too. There were platinum tix when Jeff played Chattanooga.
  17. Night 2 might go down as one of my top 5 wilco shows ever. The set list was incredible. Really tickled to hear Laminated Cat in that room again. I saw Jeff solo at the Bijou back in 2006 and he had a really funny bit where some lady yelled for it, and he yelled it back with a put on southern accent. I laughed so hard I cried, and to this day my sister and I still joke about it. While, it would have been nice to been down front with all my friends, our seats mid-way back afforded a great view of the set design. I’m dubbing it the magic junkyard set. Really lovely. I was just so stoked to ev
  18. Man that was fun! Excited for night 2. So great to see so many pals from so many places.
  19. Oh dear. I do not think so.
  20. Oh man, it bums me out to see so many people disappointed about the whole Karaoke thing... it’s not like it’s gonna be first 10 people to make it side stage go up and it’s a train wreck. They’re looking for people who are competent singers. They’ll rehearse and it will be great, I’m sure! 15-year-old me would be going positively nuclear about such an opportunity (and I mean 30-year-old me is kinda super stoked too). It’ll be alright, and I’m sure Jeff will sing too. It sounds like a really fun show. I am going to submit on both YouTube and Instagram. I hope to be picked, it’s our only sh
  21. He did. We were able to spend some time together earlier in the tour, and sang before a show. He was really impressed(which I still can’t believe.... just ) and asked if I wanted to do it on stage that night. I declined that night cos I was way too nervous, but I mentioned we were going to other shows too, and that Chattanooga was a hometown show(that I had been hoping for since I started listening to Wilco at 13), and he said we should definitely do it on stage. I was very nervous, but dang if Jeff believes in me I ought to believe in myself too. The day of the show in Chattanooga came an
  22. I found another small write up about the Chattanooga show from a local music blog. Completely shocked my appearance was mentioned. https://www.thesouthernsounding.com/features/concert-review-jeff-tweedy-with-james-elkington-at-the-walker-theatre-chattanooga-tn
  23. Right! Yeah, it was so special, and Jeff’s always been so kind. I’m still kinda floored he thought I had a good enough voice to be on stage.
