  1. GA for Asheville and Macon and Front Center first row for Nashville. I can't be happier. Glad that the GA shows are separated by 10 days so we don't have to camp out for spots 2 days in a row too!
  2. I'm going to see Saves the Day on Sunday, and it will probably be my last show of 2018- only saw a handful this year, but I hope it lives up the the hype I've constructed in my head.
  3. I guess I’m thinking about it from a set list perspective. I’d rather hear a different song. I’d never skip it on the record. Honest.
  4. I stand corrected... it has a really predictable melody at least to me cos I've heard it probably 700,000 times since 2001.
  5. Wishful Thinking ALTWYS Hell Is Chrome Standing O Spiders Pieholden Suite I can't choose just one. More often than not I will stuff the show ballot box with requests for ALTWYS.
  6. Jesus Etc. is tied with California Stars I'm just tired of hearing them nearly every show. Cali Stars is only ok when there's a guest playing on it, and then it's still kinda boring cos the guest just solos and goes about their night. Both have really predictable chord changes and often times the audience screws up the sing alongs. I'm grumpy about those 2 songs for sure. Conversely, I could never ever ever get tired of ITMWLY.
  7. I think Disney is doing a good job with the universe and the story that they're telling. I've enjoyed TFA and TLJ a bunch. Been pretty into Star Wars since I was 8, and haven't been disappointed by a movie really (except Attack Of The Clones in parts), and have really enjoyed a bunch of the novels and the new comics are really great. If you're into comics I suggest checking them out. I hope that Rey and Kylo end up together in 9, because I think it will be both of them that bring balance to the Force, not just one or the other. Especially going off what happened in the throne room. Also,
  8. They posted on Facebook that they’re gonna be working on new music during 2018! I hope the Tweedy solo tour comes through the south. Bet we get a Tweedy band tour this summer when Spencer is out of school.
  9. Did you check the tab section of the board here, theres a lot of songs that aren't on the usual sites in those sections. Gumbopages fills me with nostalgia, because that's where I learned the majority of the Wilco songs I know back when I was just learning the guitar. I'd print them off and fill notebooks with the tabs for all the Uncle Tupelo and Son Volt tunes too.
  10. I had a blast at this one cos it'd been over a year and a half since I'd seen them. Cried really hard a couple of times. Got a special wave from Jeff, so that made me feel all warm and fuzzy. Also got to meet Pat's dad Tony. He's super nice, and talks to you like you've been friends forever. Really special guy. He recognized us the next night in Atlanta too and chatted for a bit. I thought this show was a good example of why I still spend all my money to go to several shows a year. It's more than the music, it's the community.
  11. Thomas Wolfe is a special venue for me personally cos it was the place my first Wilco show was in 2005. Our seats were 4 over from where they were the first time. Made even better by the fluke of friends being on either side of us. One gripe is the floor up front is sloped backwards, so it was really hard to see at times. I hope the guy that vaped so hard next to us is okay, dude was out cold in the floor and seat mates had to flag security half way through the show. Legit a scary moment cos the guy was out cold. I thought the show was great, and I danced too hard- my back still hurts.
  12. I enjoyed this show a lot, I think it's probably my favorite of the 3 I saw this tour- the sound was good in the pit for us, and we had a great view of the whole stage from 4 rows back. The couple in front of us insisted on holding their phones up for photos nearly every song, so that was the only annoying things to speak of, I guess. It was a little weird the setlist in B'Ham, ATL, and Asheville were so similar, but I guess it might just be the way things are this tour, if not all tours going forward, where the deeper cuts are reserved for residencies or something... I don't really care to
  13. Most venues have designated places for folks who can’t stand to sit and see the show with unobstructed views. It only takes communicating with the venue to aquire those accommodations. Dude should have maybe looked into it and not taken it so personally. Usually places are really nice about it.
  14. I saw my first ever wilco show at Thomas Wolfe, and if you're on the extreme right side sight lines are not the greatest. We ended up closer to the aisle this time, so I am hoping to see the band a bit better this time. Last time I saw them there I had to stand on my tip toes a lot. Other than that is was a nice place to see a show, a little dated, but the sound was good.
  15. My heart broke when I saw the news over the weekend. Sending so many good vibes to the Tweedy family. Thanks for going to represent us all, poppydawn.
  16. Got OR row E for Asheville. Super stoked. I think they're releasing in waves, but I jumped as soon as I got something decent. I'm almost positive its the same exact seat I had for my very 1st Wilco show
  17. I only ever knew that one song that was super popular when I was in high school, but dang. survived by 6 kids. my heart hurts for his family. jeez.
  18. actually I reached out on social media and they gave my info to ticketing. The ticketing lady called me a little after 11 and asked if I would like 4th row pit. I said "absolutely!"
  19. I am no longer grumpy. I ended up with 3rd row for Birmingham because of crazy luck, and 4th row pit for Atlanta by magical circumstances. The staff at the Fox is super awesome. Holy cow!
  20. That's the thing though. I'm not spending the money if it's not a good seat. I can't see shows like I used to anymore so it really has to be worth it.
