  1. I think Bonds committed a greater misdeed, because he knowingly used a banned substance while it was banned by baseball. Ankiel knowingly used a currently banned substance before it was banned by baseball.
  2. Yeah, he doesn't look like he's running hard, but he's pretty goddamn fast. Jesus, the Chargers got jobbed there.
  3. Alton Brown used some of the popcorns from that link in his popcorn episode.
  4. How long does Tommy John rehab take?
  5. He did have Tommy John surgery in July, 2003. Frankly, I don't know if HGH is often prescribed to help with recovery from surgery. It is prescribed to prevent muscle loss in some situations, which seems applicable to me...
  6. Somebody please explain to me how using a banned substance before it was banned and using a banned subject while it is banned are the same thing?
  7. Well, it doesn't really compare (lyrically) with much of the Robert Hunter stuff, does it? Nothing wrong with the song, it's fun, but it's the only Dead song I know that Jerry provided the lyrics for...just saying you can compare Jeff's and Jerry's musical styles all you want, but if you're comparing words, it's Jeff vs. Robert Hunter for the most part.
  8. If you're looking at lyrical comparisons, chances it's not Jerry, unless you're comparing Jeff's songs to "Cream Puff War." I am going to listen to Wake of the Flood today.
  9. My dad brought back cases of bootlegged tapes when he was in Korea in the early eighties. We wore the hell out of the Pavarotti ones (and, sadly, the Zamfir ones). RIP Luciano.
  10. [creepy]Do you know if she was wearing high heels?[/creepy]
  11. If you don't want people to get the wrong idea about your dog, she probably shouldn't be wearing a shirt in the first place.
  12. What old thread? It's on the front page of this forum.
  13. I saw that "safeguard and protect your environment" commercial on regular tv last night.
  14. Sorry to hear that. I always enjoyed reading his reviews, when I had the chance to. RIP.
