And there's indeed an error. Labels/artwork is switched for both discs. Thanks Warner Holland ! On the other hand, i got a collector's item right now.

I can't believe I'd ever say that about a GBV/Pollard release. For one thing I'm just burned out on Todd Tobias' production/instrumentation (he plays all the instruments - again - on this one). The whole shitty production thing is really old now. Why he doesn't record with his road band (which kicks ass) and get a real producer is beyond me. There's a few decent songs on it - but most of it sounds phoned in, even by his 'side project' standards. The worse part - and most shocking - is his voice. He's really off-key, just sounds terrible. It's scary that he's releasing this through Merge Records, as his follow-up to the excellent From A Compound Eye. Edited August 28, 2006 by Sid Hartha

I've yet to hear it but I feel you on the Tobis-bit. I never was a fan of his production. I've been burnt on Pollard stuff for a while. I haven't picked up squat since FACE. Attack With Love
working man's blues #2 might be the best song he's written in 20 yrs. agreed. i love it, and i also love beyond the horizon...but not in the same way as workingman's blues #2. i do enjoy the album, but those two are definately standout tracks for me. about to play:milwaukee next thursday!
