Embarcadero Eyes
Just curious what you guys read for music and or film news. I love Paste, personally, but I read pretty much everything.
tongue-tied
Pitchfork.
aricandover
I don't read any of these. I guess I get most of my info from artists' websites.
napoleon
whenever i do actually read the news, i like to use google news. i like being able to look at music, movies, politics, and sports all on the same page.
oceanman
If I do,it's No Dep. and Harp, stay truer to the roots.
TCP
I use to get Harp all the time but I haven't in like a year. But I read p4k and Tiny Mix Tapes daily.
Welsh Rich
Pitchfork and Drowned In Sound are my main sources of information... I've also just got a subscription to Harp magazine to see what it's like. Plan B magazine in the UK is also really good for new bands, even if some of the reviews and articles are a bit over the top! jimmyjimmy
I love Chromewaves and yesterdays entry on the National is a good example why.
wheelco
I personally am partial to VC rumors and innuendo best source there is . . .
Calexico
I read Uncut and Mojo every month. BBC website and Drudge for news and laughs. Aquarium Drunkard, Chromewaves and fan sites for news and music. And then of course there is all the porn...
mchchef1
I just make it up to suit my own needs
aver
I read a magazine called DIW the other day that was absolutely hilarious and had great articles too. I'm going to check out their next issue and if its as good I'll probably subscribe to that.
muller
And then of course there is all the porn... I read Pitchfork mainly online. Magazine wise Im still a subscriber to Uncut - even though I bitch about how shit it is every month. Also picked up a few issues of Under The Radar which I really enjoy. If im desperate I sometimes pick up the NME.
muller
Yeah, I get pretty much all the music info I need right here in Someone Else's Songs. Really. You're not kidding. That NP thread has made me listen to so much music id otherwise never known existed.
EL the Famous
Newstand-wise, i'm impartial to Magnet, URB, XLR8R and Big Takeover. Web-wise, I have a bunch of hip-hop/etc. blogs bookmarked...and that Pandora radio has thrown some good shit my way as well.
Mystik Spiral
That NP thread has made me listen to so much music id otherwise never known existed. I try (and usually fail) to keep up with p'fork. Just not enough hours in the day...
thebunk
I pretty much read Paste every month. I love the CDs that come with it. I have been meaning to give Harp a try but never see it around. I am not a fan of the English mags (NME, Uncut, Mojo, etc.). Online, I stick with SoundOpinions.com (more a forum then anything) and Pitchfork.
LouieB
No Depression. I have had a subcription since issue #1. LouieB
