Welsh Rich
Yeah, they're on warp: http://www.myspace.com/grizzlybear It's taken time for it to grow on me, an album of understated beauty. EDIT: The grizzly bear album is the one with understated beauty... Ted Leo, below, is not... I'm decided I don't like it other than 2 songs... it's just a bit too bland
cryptique
Haven't listened to this in a long time (several years, probably), and it's working much better for me now than it did the last time around. I've been pretty underwhelmed by R.E.M.'s output ever since they jumped to Warner Bros., but this one is a definite exception.
Calexico
Big fan of Thea's. I think she is one of the very best songwriters to emerge from England in decades.
lizish
well, 2 songs from it. 'Ada, put the sounds of your house in a songTry to be speechless for a minute'
Calexico
I was late getting to this but am really starting to like this a lot.
bleedorange
well, 2 songs from it. 'Ada, put the sounds of your house in a songTry to be speechless for a minute' How are they? I'm really looking forward to that album.
rghammo
Jonathan Fire Eater - Wolf Songs For Lambs I really love the Walkmen (the first two albums at least) but this is not catching me yet. I still need to hear their EP which is supposed to be better.
lizish
How are they? I'm really looking forward to that album. they are up in unplugged and outside format at 'Take away shows' http://www.blogotheque.net/concertaemporter/ Looks like they got a flamenco guitarist guest for 'Ada' and I certainly get a Django Reinhart feeling from it all. Can't wait for this as well.
solace
Ted Leo, below, is not... I'm decided I don't like it other than 2 songs... it's just a bit too blandyeah, i like a handful of tracks, but it may be his weakest to date (other than the first actual solo record). at least Sheets had a ton of energy. I do like it a bit more with each listen, though ... so who knows? Someone put the bonus EP that came with pre-orders up on Oink in FLAC. Haven't listened to that yet but I'm looking forward to it. solace
there's 2 really good songs on the bonus EP like i said, i do like it, but it's not even close to one of the better records this year. like a solid 7-7.5 i'd say.
Chendizzle
well, 2 songs from it. 'Ada, put the sounds of your house in a songTry to be speechless for a minute' Ahhhh you cannot do that to a person. As soon as I saw the top of the album cover I was all over oink. Also, I'm telling ya, give Ted more listens, took more than usual for me on this one compared to his more immediate stuff on Tyranny, Hearts or Sheets.

cryptique
OK, who is that and should I know? It's all the tracks from Voxtrot's Raised By Wolves and Mothers, Sisters, Daughters & Wives EPs, shuffled into a full-length playlist. And yes, it would have been a monster album.

cryptique
Just two EPs is it? I have heard the name before. Yeah, "Mothers, Sisters, Daughters & Wives" is one EP, not three. Those two are fantastic. The new self-titled, full-length album is good, but (in my opinion) not quite on the same level.
Calexico
I shall track them down, thankya.
