jdmel
I was looking for a recording of Immigrant song by Jeff or the whole band.. Does anyone have it?? I saw Jeff played it solo recently but I'm pretty sure I saw the whole band played it at some point also which led to the idea of... lets all post a track, the majority may have it but I think we'll all find something interesting, maybe even a new favorite.. Lammycat
I always got a kick out of them bringing JP on stage to do this (or Paranoid, Ziggy Stardust, etc.). JP is a good dude with a good sense of humor and these covers by him and the band are to be taken tongue-in-cheek. Here's an Immigrant song from '97 (I believe it's 5-23-97, The Riviera):http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?acti...4F4E72A2E7F767A

So Long
two questions: A) Is that John on vocals? and WHY?!
Lammycat
A) Yes, John Parker, former sound tech/stage manager. Why not. Show a little love for the sound guy. Again, a tongue-in-cheek tune or two at the end of some shows for a little goofin' off never hurt anybody. Obviously it's not about highlighting his vocals, but about having a laugh or two. It shows the boys having some fun. Reminds me somewhat of when Fishman would come down from the drums & warble "Cracklin' Rosie" or "Purple Rain" or some such.
