Post your rarest/best wilco tracks

Recommended Posts

I was looking for a recording of Immigrant song by Jeff or the whole band.. Does anyone have it?? I saw Jeff played it solo recently but I'm pretty sure I saw the whole band played it at some point also

which led to the idea of... lets all post a track, the majority may have it but I think we'll all find something interesting, maybe even a new favorite..

I always got a kick out of them bringing JP on stage to do this (or Paranoid, Ziggy Stardust, etc.). JP is a good dude with a good sense of humor and these covers by him and the band are to be taken tongue-in-cheek.

Here's an Immigrant song from '97 (I believe it's 5-23-97, The Riviera):

A) Yes, John Parker, former sound tech/stage manager.

B) Why not. Show a little love for the sound guy. Again, a tongue-in-cheek tune or two at the end of some shows for a little goofin' off never hurt anybody.

Obviously it's not about highlighting his vocals, but about having a laugh or two.

I agree. It shows the boys having some fun. Reminds me somewhat of when Fishman would come down from the drums & warble "Cracklin' Rosie" or "Purple Rain" or some such.

do you mean, "The Night Chicago Died Again"? that's a Minus 5 song, with Scott McCaughey doing the vocals. wilco's never covered the Paper Lace song, "The Night Chicago Died".

ah yea read it wrong. it would have been funny to hear jeff singing the night chicago died though...

I was wondering if this might be the 'all that blow in Amsterdam' show?

Pretty damn good show imo..
